A friend of mine tells me he have six pairs!

i've gotten five....does drizzt have a pair? if so, then yes, it is possible to have six seeing as i've never killed drizzt.

In ToB, my entire party had Boots of Speed, well, except me, I had the Grandmaster's Armor, which is pretty much the same thing.

I am not sure but did the guy in the Saradush tavern who was scared of the vampires have boots of speed? How could you get them from him without killing him?

I can confirm Renal Bloodscalp has one but the only way to get it I guess is to side with Bodhi and then go to the docks and take him out (I think you should do this if you choose not to or have not done the quest to rescue the stooge in the docks). Otherwise use ctrl+q to recruit Renal, get the boots and dismiss him.

There are 6 pairs that I know of in SOA and TOB combined...

SOA:
1) Loot from band in planar prison
2) Loot from Renal Bloodscalp
3) Get from Asylum machine
TOB:
1) Loot from Illasera
2) Buy from Saradush inn
3) Buy from Saradush shop

so does drizzt have a pair or not? he obviously did in BGI since he took out 95% of the gnolls. Everytime i moved to attack one, if i blinked it'd be dead on the ground while drizzt moved on to the next one.

Drizzt does not have boots of speed. He has bracers of speed that he looted from an enemy drow. The bracers screwed up his hand coordination so he put them on his feet.
