jonelith and sarevok(possible spoilers)

Post by MistJaguar »

does anyone else think that the people at bioware did alot better job at making jon then they did sarevok...

yeah sarevok may indeed feel difficult to beat in BGI and jon a wimp in BGII but jon has depth to him while sarevok is just your plain evil s.o.b.

in the final battle and aftermath you can't help but feel slightly sorry for jon because of the depth they put into his character and his past, he's the type of villain that i would hope to have many a campaign with more and more depth added as time goes on...

personally i think it would be neat if in the expansion or bgIII(one can dream can't they) you can have the option of going back to hell(ahhh hell campaigns) to save him while maybe figuring out a way to rid yourself of the divine part of your soul, my character is an elf and the fact that when he dies he won't get to go to Arvanaith(elven heaven) and instead will cease to exist is bugging the hell out of him and he would like to get a full elven soul

The nine hells are part of planescape campain world.
Irenicus is "dead" now, getting is soul back is not going to make a diference, besides elves hate drow (and vice versa) and cant stand undead (vampire, lich [actually not even the Drows like undead], etc..), so jon irenicus (and his sister bodhi) was the most "anti-elf" that I can think of.
And Serevok can be a "wimp" back on BG I, he does not move if you dont have TOSC (he just stays in there) and if he does (TOSC) just summon some creatures to keep him busy and use "magical missile" on him, easy as Jon.
Besides, your charater just save a Elf city, the Selderine may decide to return the favor (assuming, of course that your character is not imortal)

I always thought the goal of BG2 was to OVERCOME your Bhaal heritage and purge your soul of the taint, eventually leading a normal and fullfilling life. I think the key to doing this would be Imoen, who has seemingly already acomplished this.

No, Imoen just manage to ignore (or overcome) the Bhall blood with her "joy of live".
The Main Character has overcome the taint back on BG I by fighting it (the dreams).
