Quite easily. What i usually do is single them out, like have them trapped in the door way and have all of my guys beat on them at the same time. Timing is also important, try to cast attack spells (Magic missles, etc) when the wolf's health goes even lower, this'll help in finishing it off.

Focus your attacks on them one at a time or the will just keep regenerating. Try to get a lot of damage in a smaller amount of time.
Viconia:Minsc, that tattoo on your face, does it have tribal significance or did some nursery's fingerpainting class assault you with the blue pastels?
Minsc:I do not like the tone of your voice, Dark Elf.The face I have isthe face the ladies love! Boo loves Minsc's face, too! Don't you,Boo?

This could be a bug that people have encountered before where the Greater Wolfweres become much more powerful than they really should be. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix it if it is this problem. I would suggest just using cheats to kill them if you are suffering from the bug. Or you could try to sneak in with potions of invisibility to get the loot then sneak out and close the door on them.

I ran into one in the 2nd level of firkraags lair that must have been bugged. I had korgan beating on it for 20 damage per hit, hitting once or twice per round, and he regenerated back up to uninjured multiple times. I couldn't kill him. I eventually went back and memorized "finger of death" and used that 'til he failed his save...that worked.

If you don't have a melee-heavy party, these guys can be really unstoppable...they just regenerate so fast. I have found that with some parties that do not have a lot of heavy hitters, or smaller parties without a bunch of strong sword arms, that doing enough damage quickly enough can be very hard.

If the party does not have a lot of good fighters, I would say that strength enhancement spells and haste will help, and bless and chant to increase the frequency of hits. Sometimes you just have to bring it ALL on! Break out some sword spiders or Ogres --- hit 'em with some hasted skeleton warriors.

The Fail of Ages + Celestial Fury worked best for me in conjunction with fire elementals even if my party wasn't h2h type. It's true, you should concentrate on one wolfwere ignoring all other. It helps also if you give him something hard to hit or with lot of HP at the start (the invisible stalker, fire or earth elemental are good enough). The best if you can give other something to be busy, too - IMO AI (almost) never consider switching targets.

Take them out one by one and make sure all your NPCs hit them with something every round(melee, ranged or spell). Magic Missiles work great.

What party isn't melee heavy and doesn't have access to insta-kill spells!?

There is a bug with Wolfweres, sometimes their health gets stuck in a loop, going from Near Death to Barely Injured. You'll need to reload and start te fight again.
Past: Ascension
Present: The Broken Hourglass
Future: Return to Windspear, Imoen Relationship

Is this some kind of riddle?

I'll guess: A party of tired mages, or someone who is saving their insta killahs for the DRAGON downstairs.
