A somewhat unusual Nar Shaddaa question (possible spoilers)

Post by Suicide Girl »

I just can't stop asking Nar Shaddaa-related questions, can I?...

After reading through five Search pages of Nar Shaddaa questions, I realised I'll just have to make another thread. I'm ever so sorry if someone had asked this before; I just couldn't find it.

So the brainteaser is this:

Upon arriving on Nar Shaddaa, I first opened all and finished most of the main area quests, then entered the Entertainment Promenade, after that I finished all of the Refugee quests I could in the Refugee sector, and am now closing up the Docks.

The problem is that I haven't yet
- fixed the airspeeder
- found transport for the refugee family
- helped Lootra from the docks flophouse find his wife (although I had met her previously in the Refugee Quad, but the quest wasn't triggered till I spoke to Lootra)
- solved the trade wars between the Rodian and the Duros
- danced for Vogga (or indeed even entered Vogga's enclave)
- entered the Pazaak den in the Ent. Promenade
- got Mira as a party member (I'm playing LS)

Nar Shaddaa is my second planet (after Dantooine), and I have already turned the Disciple, Bao-Dur and Atton into Jedi and got Visas as a party member. (now that's a bit irrelevant...) I killed all the bad guys (the Exchange and the Serrocos) in the Refugee Promenade, and defeated the Red Eclipse on board the Ebon Hawk.

I'm currently on the docks and about to go back to the Refugee Quad to solve Lootra's quest, but when I enter the main areia (refugee landing pads), I get the Jekk Jekk Tar invitation.

Now, to some people who are having trouble getting the invitation, this might seem blasphemous, but I don't want it! Not yet, at least. I read in some walkthrough that, after getting the message, I can't take any party members along or enter the Ebon Hawk, but can only go straight to the Jekk Jekk Tar. But I don't want to go yet, since I haven't finished half the quests! :speech:

I can't get to KotOR II right now, to check whether I can simply tell Atton I'll check the message later, so my asking this might be somewhat needless and therefore annoying, but

a) Is there any way to put off the Gas Club meeting?
b) If not, then can I still run around and close up all the quests before getting to the Big Stuff?
c) Most importantly, do I have the time to do the Dancing for Vogga quest?
d) Why are the Exchange contacting me so soon in the first place?!...

I apologise if this is a pointless thread, but this is really making me nervous for some reason...

a) More than likely (Well, I have never had to do this before...)
b) Well, considering you can control your character all the way to the Jekk JeKK Tar, it makes sense that you can take a few side quests along the way
c) Well, if your alone and can't return to the Ebon Hawk, I don;t think you can get the Handmaiden to help you.... or is another character available? If your main character can, then it is likely you could do it before entering the Jekk Jekk too...
d) All I can say is that you are incredibly skilled at being aggravating. Congratulations!

Oh well. Thank you for the answers (and the compliment :D ), but I sort of came to the conclusion that worrying about this would be pretty pointless and decided to simply do Nar Shaddaa all over again. This time, instead of going ent.promenade-ref.sector-docks plus the final run-around, I'll take docks-refugees-entertainment and see what happens. (I just hope I won't end up having trouble getting the Exchange to notice me again... )

BTW, what I don't understand is; can I go talk to Vogga the Hutt when I'm at the Docks by simply waltzing in, or do I have to do the Dancing for Vogga quest? (and therefore waltz in... no pun intended)

EDIT
Well, accoring to the walkthrough:
The recommended way to first approach Vogga is by dancing for him, initiated at Entertainment Promenade after you've already overheard the thugs.
Well, that's settled, then.

Now I should apologise for making a pointless thread.

And, for the record, I know that since my character is controllable on my way to the Jekk'Jekk Tar, I can probably close up a few quests on my way there, but what was troubling me was the fact that I had quite a list of quests in need of closing, including the one where I dress up and get a new part-time job. Not to mention that I kind of wanted Bao-Dur and Atton to be there when I attempt to fix the airspeeder.

Oh well.

(And yes, I'm playing female)
