Damn berserkers...

Post by Lasher »

I suspect it's a ToB thing, but why do my berserkers/Minsc often go crazy while berserking? Perhaps its a morale problem.
So whats the deal?

You do know what the definition of a berserker is, right?

Well, I kinda figured that something like that would be listed under "disadvantages", you know? I suppose I'm asking how to minimize the attacking of my own party?

But that's easy. In battle, make sure the berserker is far closer to enemies than to the rest of your party.

After a battle, I once successfully paralyzed a berserking party member. I never got charm to work on one of them, however.

IIRC, only Minsc should go uncontrollable while Berserking, because he's not actually a Berserker. It's his head injury that's causing him to go off, and he's a little nuts like that. I don't remember PC berserkers or Korgan ever doing that, though.

The back-information is sparse, and you already know as much as we do. :)

I find it funny that Minsc goes into a berserk state when Aerie takes enough damage, I find it funnier when Aerie dies because Minsc kills her in his berserk state.

More help with Minsc (calm the heck down!)

Once I had Minsc go nuts (more so than normal), because Aerie was gettin beat up... then Keldorn intervened and chilled that dude out.

Then Jaheira reprimanded Aerie to do better. And not 5 seconds later, that oriental fella mentioned how much he likes the city, with all it's people and their accumulated wealth.

Right then, right there, BG2 became my favorite game of all time.
Why is it that whenever I finally get around to playing a new game for the first time,
I feel like playing Baldur's Gate for the second time...
