Story Time (Search for the Holy Spam Discussion Thread)

Post by dragon wench »

Once upon a time far, far away.. there was a mythical land known as SYM. It was a place of vast mountain ranges.... mysterious valleys... dark and dangerous caverns, and Spam.

But one day, the Spam was deemed missing, and a quest arose. It was a quest that called all knights, all seekers, and all those willing to take up the sword in the Search for the Holy Spam...
And thus, the denizens of SYM began to gather in The Tap and Tea, determined to defeat unknown demons, terrible monsters... and creatures too fearsome to even name... all in the name of rescuing Spam, and restoring peace and harmony to the lands.

Ahem... Sorry, I got carried away... :D

Anyway, this thread, as the title indicates, is intended as the Discussion Companion thread to the story "In Search of the Holy Spam."

Ironically, given the title, we request that all..erm..spam and chitchat (story or otherwise) be restricted to the Tap and Tea, or similar thread ;)
This thread should be used for plot discussion, ideas, and thoughts pertaining directly to the story as it evolves.

It should also be noted, any member of SYM might be named and characterised in the story. The best way of insuring that your identity does not escape your control is to join the quest. You have been fairly warned..... :p ;)

Lastly, but certainly not leastly, I refer you to Ik's most excellent map (to be posted below) which, in loving detail, provides guidance and direction to all the terrain awaiting our exploration.

So, don your travelling gear, sharpen your weapons, and pick up your bedrolls, for now is the time to venture forth, now is the time to battle great perils...all in the most holy name of Spam. :D

And here I was thinking like Fiona, that the tourist building never existed :D .

That is one damn amazing map, well done Ik, it looks fantastic.

Uhhh the link to the Tap and Tea actually goes to the Spam Factory... just thought you might like to know.

My image has already been commandeered and is now wearing a dress. :D

Erm... so, we now have some people outside, some people inside, and some people yet to arrive. Who's going to be brave enough to start the quest? :D

Excellent map Ik. I take it your going to go south? :p

Well, I'm touched that I was considered valuable enough for such desperate measures. :D

If I sent the Raven, how much do you think I told it to tell you folks? :mischief:

Well yes... but erm.. maybe your wearing a dress is a plot device? :D

Seriously, I think Ik, Fiona and I (and anyone else who wishes to join) are going off after the Bunny, probably stopping at Fable's Pancake Emporium along the way. I'm not sure of much else.

I think Chu and some others may be involved with the boar...
The goat is still waiting for volunteers...

I'll see where chu wants to go, and maybe take someone else along. I won;t be here for a week after tomorrow, so someone is going to have to make plot decisions for me. Hopefully chu will behave himself. :D

Both groups can meet up at the goat, or if we have anyone new join soon (hint) they can head off in search of it... or I can head off by myself. :D

DW, plot device? I really don't want to know where that plot goes...

@ Ik: you need a MAP? :D

I guess I might head off to the south and see if I meet anyone there, or go east. ;)

Perhaps Phreddie, Rav and I can go off after the goat... I already have an idea of how to travel, and it's not two people on one flying thingy, it's a much better idea :D .

I'm happy to do that.
You're enlisting one flying goat to find another goat? Hehe. :D
