I have Fable TLC for Xbox, and I have been trying to do said quest. I want the dark will users hat, but the guide in the walkthrough doesn't work, because the stupid guy picks the books he wants me to give him. What do I do?

Actually it was pretty simple. I gave him The Story of Jack of Blades, The Three Creatures of Albion books, The Dragons thing, The Arena, The Pale Balverine, Eyes of a killer, The Sock Method, The Repentant Alchemist, The Other Land and the Tale of Twinblade, before the kids gave me the Dark wizard hat. So the trick to it all is to give him the scariest books possible, and other books when he absolutely refuses everything else. Thanks Anyway.
