Play with me!

Post by Lasher »

Hey... I'm sorry to say it, but BG2, like all games for me, is losing it's luster. I cannot now take a game out of chapter 3. *sob*
I need somebody to keep me in line, I guess, and I think the teamwork aspect would be fun.
I dont mind most mods, need others, and I'm pretty good, I think.
So.... talk to me.

Hi there!

Another player suffering from the "Chapter-Three-Syndrome", heh? ;)

I tried to play a few multiplayer games about 1 year ago, with no great sucess, but I'm willing to make another attempt!

I have a short *must-have* mod list (Mainly extra content and some fixes) and I hate mods such as Tactics, Improved [Insert Fight Here] and Item Upgrade.

Just a few questions you could answer me back here, by PM or by e-mail (Some are just my curiosity asking, others are for technical reasons) :

- How old are you ?
- Where do you live ?
- What's your "main" language ?
- Do you have a Router ?
- Do you have ToB ?
... any comments and/or extra informations about you and what kind of player you are are welcome too!

----------------
My own answers to my own questions :

- I'm Seventeen (18yrs in 2 weeks :D !!!)
- Canada, Quebec
- French, although I consider myself almost bilinguile (<-- No idea on how to spell this word in english :p )
- I do have a router, but I usually use Port Forwarding for my PC Games to work online with no problems.
- I do have ToB, but I never played through it (only Watcher's Keep down to level 3 or 4)

----------------

How to contact me :
- Answer below
or
- PM me
or
- Email me (sp101101@hotmail.com)
or
- Add me on MSN (sp101101@hotmail.com)

----------------

Salutations from Quebec City!

Right on!

I'm 18... from washington, U.S., English, Router???(no), very flexible with mods, and do have ToB.

Look forward to playing with you... Some questions of my own:
What times would be most convenient for you? Mine would be afternoons/evenings, though with the time-differences(?) that might be too late.
And are you good with the technical things? Because I might need some help finding you...

Ok... See you

Cool, same age group :D

Washington and Quebec are in the same Time Zone (GTM -5 that is), so our hour is the same (13h15 now, both for you and for me :) )

A router is like a hub that splits your connexion and add a firewall, wich can cause technical problems for online gaming, but there are ways to bypass the firewall by opening some ports, wich is what I did to be able to play BG2 online.

Contact me on MSN or via E-Mail for your modlist, I'll send you my must have modlist too. We have to agree on the install order too, that's VERY important.

ToB : Good, even if I've never played through it.
What times would be most convenient for you?
Afternoon, Evenings, Nights (until like 3 AM)

Note : I'm currently working 40 hours a week, so I do have freetime to play.
When my College start again, I'll work 10-20 hours a week and have about 20-25 hours in class.
And are you good with the technical things? Because I might need some help finding you...
I'm quite good with such things :)

-----------------

Do you have MSN?
- If yes, or if you dont mind installing it, add me so we can chat about our BG2 game!
- If no, message me by email or tell me how I can contact you. We shouldn't use this forum as a chat, you know.

I would be interested but I: have a crappy connection, owned the game for 2 years and have never finished it, have a crappy connection, know nothing about cheats and mods, have a crappy connection, am twice your age, and can remember when the "Curse of the Azure Bonds" game was the greatest thing on earth. You guys will just have to leave me behind...I would only slow you down, lol.

Would love to play online but I am old and must me in bed by 10...pm. :p
Maybe when I have finished the game and learn how to do some of these fancy things...like importing a character from BG1 to BG2....
"Korax thinks you look very tasty today...

Online Game

I would also be interested. I've played the entire game from chapter 1 to 10 and beaten it with no mods. My evenings are mostly free. The middle of the week (Tuesday thru Thursday) would be the best times. My connection is high speed so I don't think that will be a problem. I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if this will go any further than this.

Can we use characters we've used in our own single player games? That would be very cool. I've an Undead Hunter who is very powerful and would be a great tank to add to a group. I'm not sure, but I think someone would have to pre-generate the whole thing, before we all connect for the game. I've dabbled a little in this, with no success.

Their feathers were fanned in a fiery breeze!
But, funny little birds, they had no wings!
O what shall we do with the funny little things?
