Fishing problems

Post by Sunniva »

Whatever I do, I'm unable to land any fish (or keys or mushrooms for that matter) - am I too week? Never seen any red signs, but the fish gets lost anyway. And fishpole is moving whether I use the mouse or not. Is there a bug somewhere? Any tips will be make my day better!!! :(

Fishing

I have the game for xbox, so I'm not sure how your controls work. Basically, you have to Click when you hear a buzzing noise, as soon as you hear it. This will show you your fiching progress. If it's something else, I suggest getting the better rod in the fishing contest @ fisher creek. This makes fishing faster, and the twine is much stronger.

Hope this helps.

Fishing

Fishing won't work for me either. I have probably tried it about 50 times. I have used every variation. It must be a glitch. Maybe it doesn't like my wireless mouse.

I am unable to finish the sick child quest. Does anyone have a spare mushroom? :(

I have a wireless mouse, no problems here, it can't be that. Just try clicking slower, I find it helps sometimes.

Still no fishingluck!

I too have a wireless mouse, type Logitech. And I am still unable to catch anyting no matter how I try. Could there be some difficulties regarding which type of mouse you use?

Due to this problem it is impossible to finish the quest of the sick child, but it is also very difficult to get enough silverkeys.

I'm using a Logitech wireless mouse too, no problems for me... Maybe try changing the batteries? Or maybe you dropped it a little too much? (yes, I've done this...)

No, I've never dropped my mouse, and yes, the batteries are new. It seemes like the game really fishes alone. I use the mouse to get the symbol of the fish visible, but from there on I don't need to use the mouse untill I loose the fish. The symbol is then barely visible in the right corner of the screen. It goes that way every time.

So, what to do? :(

I'd say, just buy a cheap normal mouse and try it, or maybe re-install your game.

Did you go to the option menu and see if you changed the reel in command??
that is possible that it is something else and you don't even know it.

I also have a fishing problem in the original Fable for Xbox. I have beat the game, and all of my strength stats(endurance, strength, etc) are maxed. Fishing is way easy for me, but now, my line snaps all the time. Is it because my guy is too strong?

I can't figure out how to change the reel in command in the option menu. And I have gone to the Lichtfield graveyard, and I recon there is not much hope for me since I am still unable to fish.

And yes, I have deleted and reloaded the game, tried with old saved games and started on a fresh, but nothing helps!!!!

Whoever can help will deffinately be considered the man (or women) of the week, perhaps also the month (flatter, flatter flatter!!!!!) :D

fishing problem

I had the same problem..........but i was misunderstanding what was happenning, I thought you had to fill in the green bar as fast as you could, its the opposite. When the real in lights up left click as fast as you can till it goes dark or the coulor changes towards red till the fish reaches the hook. you will get messages saying you almost have it when you get close to the hook, hope this helps Jean_ahava
