IRT Stanolis: but you won't be able to download any user-made mods, thus missing out on 90% of what made Morrowind such a fantastic game, and the main reason why it's still so popular after 2 years, without even having a multiplayer mode.

2. you say pc is better because games are console specific and you can play all your pc old games on new machine. that's not true. i have several games i can't get to run on my pc because of the OS or newer plugins. however, most of the unplayable games are between 5-10 years old. since playstations were backwards compatible and xbox 360 is supposed to be, that makes the life of a game longer. of course, you can't play ps games on xbox.
I've been using DOSbox on my PC, and have yet to run into any DOS-based PC game that I couldn't play, without hitches. (I've even got Hidden Agenda, a late 80s game, on my XP, right now.) There are also emulators for the consoles available on the PC, and I've tried one successfully: no slowdown, either.

The evil nature of GameBanshee revealed below!
GameBanshee sells Xandax to make ends meet
Then, as if that was not enough, they decide to get rid of me via sweepstakes as well

well if you got a pc good enough to play it already, then get it for pc. the controls will be easier and you get the Construction Set too. if upgrading your pc to handle it will cost more than buying a xbox 360, or you already have the 360, then get it for xbox. simple as that.
im gettin for pc since i can handle it
Because of money? I just got a 120 GB hard drive, a top-of-the-line soundcard, a 3.1 gHz Athlon CPU, a new, fast-as-can-be CD reader/writer drive, a good if not great video card, and 1 GB RAM, all for about $800. I can upgrade my existing PC easily, cheaply. Can you do that on an Xbox? And can you switch from doing the taxes to checking the weather to buying a game to answering email to writing an article to playing a game on the Xbox?
I have always been a PC person and I think he is right and I can't figure out why people love there Xbox so much??? I have played Xbox a few times, when I played Morrowind I though the controls were hard to use and I like the map features on PC.

I have no problems with people who prefer a specific console over a PC. You grow used to what you have, and you develop an affection for it--and that makes an emotional sense that's every bit as good as any logical one.
But like you, I can't understand why people spout the PR line about PCs from companies who make consoles, when it's blatantly, factually incorrect. You want to play Oblivion on the latest Xbox? Be my guest, and I sincerely trust you'll enjoy it. But please, don't try to tell me that a PC is so very expensive, or constantly needs upgrades, or lacks game selection, or ease of use. All of these statements are demonstrably wrong. The Xbox is Microsoft's attempt to take over the hardware *and* software side of the gaming world, and if they can do so by "bending" the truth, why shouldn't they? Has this ever stopped them before?
Back to Oblivion. I'm looking forward to playing it on the PC, with 1 GB RAM and 3.1 gHz machine with a 64-capable processor. My video card's aging, but I don't think that will really stand in the way of enjoyment.

On the PC-needs-upgrades issue, I'd like to point something out: ironically enough I have been upgrading my PC pretty much in line with the console releases, since in my experiance that's when technology really jumps into the "next-gen".
The PC I'm using at the moment was built to run Morrowind, it's over three years old but I'm still playing Civilization IV (a notorious system hog) and Age of Empires 3 on it deliciously. Only with the advent of the true next-gen games have I decided that a significant upgrade is necessary, and at the moment I'm planning to invest £500 (around $700USD) for a further three years of gaming bliss - not to mention the vast array of other features a personal computer can offer ye
If I didn't love the wealth of features a PC offered me I would probably buy an Xbox360 , but you cannot use cost or affordability as an argument. While you save money on the console itself, Microsoft make their money back on the higher priced games. (Average new release PC game = £24/$40, average new release console title = £40 / $64). Everythink returns to equilibrium in the end
As I said in my first post in this thread, the gap between PC and console is getting steadily narrower from the gaming perspective. I'm still not sure on the modding issue with Xbox360 (I know it has some mod functionality), so we can't really give a definate answer on which platform will be better...
Actually I forgot one thing... mouse + keyboard r teh r0x :mischief:
