Educator - How do you educate followers?

Post by Invincible »

Hello Folks.

Brief introductory, since this will be the first time that I've ever posted anything on any forum related to the world of Arcanum.

I've played arcanum going on 4 years now, been gaming for going on 16 years already and through the years when I've played Arcanum off and on I've always enjoyed it. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a pro at nearly every type of game out there, from ye old Counter-Strike to the Nightmare that is Doom or the sci-fi that is Halo to the Mystery that is Marathon... all the way from the ridiculous lands of World of Warcraft with a naked night elf dancing on every roof-top to the lands of Total Annilhilation... I've been there and dunnit.

Enough about me however, lets get down to it. My question is - How does the educator background work? I don't have any idea how to train a follower to apprentice, expert or master. I don't see any way to do it, I've clicked everything I could think of but no joy. So how exactly do I train a follower in with a skill? Any info would be appreciated.

I just hope these forums aren't dead... I didn't check the last post date on any topics. I'd really regret it if the last post was made in 2002 or something.

Thanks for any help out there anyone can provide. Btw if anyone wants to get a gmail account, my email is below. Just ask and you'll get a gmail invite. (Regardless if you helped or not. :) )

Regards,

Hi,

If I recall correctly you talk to your followers and "upgrade" them via dialog option.

Hope this is the correct way. Good luck.

If you're an educator, your followers can be trained one level below you, if they have the necessary skills. For example, you're a firearms master. If your followers have adequate skills in firearms, you can train them up to Expert level.
