Okay, I'm on a roll here posting all these crappy posts in this forum! (hehe)...
Anyway, which is better? The Mage's Planetar, the Druid's Elemental Princes or the Cleric's Deva?
IMO, the Planetar are much better, but I can't be too certain as I have never summoned a Prince before. Devas are crap (well, they are a GOOD summoning, but you can ONLY have ONE of these type around, so I chosed the Planetar).
If I am not mistaken, the Planetar have MANY mage/cleric (?) spells.. including Insect Plague (which is so cool!).. while the Deva.. er.. all I can say is it's got about.. a dozen spells? Most of which are pointless. And the Princes.. well, I wouldn't have a clue! haha...
So the question is: which is better? Or do Level 15 Animate Dead Skeleton Warriors rock?!?! haha

No doubt about it. Planetar is obvius the best. It is not ramdomly like the elementals. And what make them better is that planetar can cast lots of spells from the Cleric/druid circles, it means that a mage have most of the powerfull cleric spells. I think it is also unbalance.

Guys,
If I had to rank them I would say:
1. Planetar (followed closely by)
2. Elemental Prince
3. Deva (a very distant third)
Elemental Princes are actually *slightly* better in combat than Planetars (but only slightly). As was mentioned before, however, Planetars get a LOT of high level spells and vorpal attacks. This IMO makes Planetars better.
Fear not, however! You can have your druid summon an elemental prince and your mage summon a planetar simultaneously. When you have both in a group, you are ready to kick [deleted] and take names.
Devas are much weaker in combat than either of the above two, and have poorer spells as well.

In term of raw power the Princes have the edge, they also tend to survive better when being mobbed(Chan's barrier is absolute carnage). Planetar is better in normal 1 vs 1 situation because of their spells and versatility, unless it's 1 vs 1 against super baddie that can chew through summons like there is no tomorrow, then Sunnis is best for his stoneskin.
Deva = not worth mentioning, portable healers.

The thing that ticks me off about Blade Barriers/globes is that they hit your own summons and your summons turn red! Thats why when i summon a Prince and Planeter I hope for Sunnis. I noticed that elemental princes do have a few spells each. the fire prince has a fire attack spell and the others have spells too...
As for Devas, the only cool thing about them is that Paladins can summon them with a special ability

Ahh...
1. I have never noticed that the elemental princes had spells of their own (other than their innate powers like Sunni's stoneskin or Chad's Globe of blades).
2. When I have powerful summons with bladebarriers, I keep them away from other summons (although if your Pro has the cloak of mirroring, you can fight side by side with your summon with a globe of blades and be ok). I find they are best at keeping enemy summons OFF your party so they can concentrate on targets of priorty.
Of course that is just how I do it and your milage may vary.
