Ok, now those ruin like places, the Daedric Shrines or whatever, how high a level do you think I should be? Right now, I'm 10th level and I got my arse handed to me with the last one I went to, as this lady like person slashed me to bits in a few attacks while I didn't even dent her armor.

Any thoughts, I wanna start goin and explorin each one soon?

If you had your butt handed to you, you might wanna advance say, five levels before facing that danger again, IMO. :D

Just five levels, you sure that'd be enough?

Just carry a divine/almvsi intervention scroll on a hotkey... then if you are getting beat, just use that to get away...

Most things you will find in these ruins will not present too much problem for a reasonable enchanted weapon... Maybe stuff like winged twilights, golden saints and dremora will give you some problem.

Just use your scrolls and you will be fine...

That's probably what it was is a Dremora, i think.

Well, my weapon is a paralyzation short blade, very nice damage for when I found it I might say, and it had 200 charges on it, using about 10 charges per attack, versus some of the crap I saw in the bartering thing. It, in short, was MINE.

I'm also equipped with every assassin armor there is, (hey, that stuff is some decent frickin armor), but meh. I'll get some scrolls and such, maybe a new spell or two if I get some money, and then when I've leveled after a few quests, I'll go kill her.

The blade's good, but you need some real damage to make a dent. I suggest hotkeying another, more powerful blade, perhaps an ebony longsword, then switch to it as soon as paralysis takes hold, whack away, and switch back before the spell runs out. Paralyze again. Rinse, wash, repeat.

I'll prolly get a new decent blade like that, but it'd have to be short as I have 45 in that and like 5 or 10 in longblade (dunno if Imperial get's a bonus).

But for now, I'll start doin the main quests and such.

Then an ebony shortblade, or glass. Something that has more bite to it. You could always try a shortblade enchanted for fire, but quite a few creatures have fire protection, and then you'd still run into the problem of doing little basic damage.

Also handy, potions.

Lots of healing potions, and maybe something to fortify your attack.

Potions can be cheesy, but used in moderation they are fine.

Yep, just stole a really nice (and expensive) glass dagger and it does less damage then the dagger I'm using. My blade does I believe 9-14 and the glass does 7-12 on thrust that is, and I do a lot of thrusting. I'm the guy who moves around like crazy in combat.

got plenty of potions, used most of them when fighting her and still died, can't use scrolls, for some reason it doesn't work, or maybe my skills just aren't up to snuff.

Meh, oh well. That glass dagger'll get me 4 grand which, when I obtain a few souls, I can enchant another weapon of equal quality or so with some crazy stuff.

But man, you'd think Telvanni would have higher security, but all I did was go into a seller's room and shut the door, pick the dagger up, and leave.

This is my character, and the name Viscus, I think I got it from here, but I like it so sue me. :P

On 100 difficulty I would adventure into Daedric shrines only at level 20.

Well, i start to enter them (like as smuggler caves) above 15th, however the danger is not a reason, it's just that probability to find good gems (and good Saints). However, yes, my chars for long already are sneaks of different kinds, so what cannnot be beaten, could be avoided :D

Man, he (Imperial, Telvani enchanter in Vivec Telvani canton waistworks, wasn't he?) might have a very profitable job for you, had you checked? Grand Soul Gems aren't that easy to get, you know.

Actually, believe it or not, they are. I can go to any mages guild and get one for 200 drakes.

you should begin to get a better blade, go to balmora in one of the guard towers ontop of a closet there is the sword of white woh/wow something like that, its easy to get and pretty good, you should get some money and train with every guy you see

(a tip, always cary master and pestal and rest of potion making things, you get extreem money of that there are always herbs nearby and if you get better the potions will get more expensive and the weight less the creeper has thousands of potions of mine :P )

At level 15 I was forced to enter daedric shrines for missions. Even carrying all the potions and scrolls I could buy, I only managed to narrowly avoid death.

I don't think you can escort a damsel-in-distress out of a daedric shrine or remove something from someone with only the amulet.

And enemy mages can still throw area effect spells, like fireballs, that ignore the fact they can't really see you. How far in the game have you gone, Sickness, and applied your strategy? :)

Fable, i may have missed something, altogether which NPC casted area effect spell at all, moreover if they didn't see your PC? And if one's attacking stealthed and they wasn't able to detect the attacker, they just would try to run away...
Your game seems to have emproved AI.
Actually, believe it or not, they are. I can go to any mages guild and get one for 200 drakes.
Well, it seems to be a mod. I'm going to keep for myself my opinion about it, however.

Erm, I went all over the world to find that blade and it was the best blade there was that was offered, that I can use well anyway. It was indeed from balmora, and it was in the fighter's guild.

The money making scheme, I really don't need. Money isn't an issue with me, I can find it easily with my Mercantile and such, I can get a lot out of sellers. The pedestal and other alchemical hardware I really don't need nor can I use as my alchemy is 5, a big fat five.

But thanks anyways. For now, until I start killing some people in the shrines and such, or getting souls, as I need to obtain a few, then I'll enchant a decent weapon. But the money that was in my inventory, isn't even a tenth of my current, which I'm using the bank mod. So far, I have a good 23K.

Thanks for everyone's help and opinions though, I do appreciate this.
