Hey everybody! I've got Anomen (lots of people say he's a beast after his quests) but it's already day sixty something and still nobody's murdered his sister yet! Not that I wish the poor girl any harm but I want to get this show on the road and I'm afraid my game's gone all buggy or something.
I picked him up recently. Have I missed my window of opportunity? That would be terrible. And if so, what companion is a good replacement?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, guys!

You can't miss his quest when he's not in your party. And I believe its an in game timer so after hes in your party for so long the guy appears to tell you his sister was murdered and the quest begins. Anomen is a powerful NPC as he has the health and prowress of a fighter as well as THAC0 and the spells and buffing abilities of a cleric. He is supurb even though he has come under lots of scrutiny, I dont find him bad at all. Just play a little bit longer and wait until his quest starts. Since you recently got him I'm not sure how much longer it will take so just quest around for a while. Good Luck.
P.S. download the patch at this link (if you have Throne of Bhaal installed download that patch only. Otherwise download and install the SoA patch into your baldurs gate SoA directory.) Also you should download the bonus merchants file which adds 2 merchants (1 in the copper coronet and 1 in the adventurers shop) place them in the override folder and then open the BG game and enjoy.
