negative hitpoints?!

Post by mvinehout »

Check this out! I have played IWD about 6 hours (real time now) and have quit and loaded about 5-6 times, the second time I loaded a saved game, the second character of my party is loaded as a dead character with negative hitpoints, ie: -11906/37 I have always reloaded again (without saving) and he came back normal (37/37)... But the last time I played, he would not come back normal, I tried about 4 times. Finally I clicked on him, his inventory is blacked out like he is held or something. He can move and fight and he is invincible!!! No lie! I sent him in to fight spectral knights and bad-ass temple guardians, at one time he had 8 of them surrounding him, pounding away, he slowly killed each one, and check this...then leveled up! Unreal! He is also linked to the party (ie: they get his experience also), thank goodness I gave him a magical weapon, since I can no longer access his gear. After talking to Kresselack and finishing the Vale quest, we headed back to Kuldahar and talked to Arundel. I found out that anything in is backpack can be sold at the shops/smith, so I emptied him out. Not sure if I want to delete him out or not... Any ideas out there, or has anyone else seen this bug? :D :D

That's one of the wierdest bugs I've heard of. Have you tried raising/resurrecting him?
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Yes, I tried raise dead from scroll, then went to temple and tried both, without any change to him. It has to be a load game problem, last night when I played he came up as 0/37, so I took him to temple, raised and healed him like normal. Played all last night with him as a normal character. Weird... :D
