Importing Characters

How do you import your BG II or BG I characters into the game, like it said you could.....I keep getting these errors whenever I try it.

Um, you can't get BG characters into IWD, and vice versa.

I think you are thinking about the loadb screens in Baldurs Gate, it says you can import to Neverwinter Nights, not Icewind Dale.
