Just remembered another one. First time I was playing a Nosferatu, on the downtown portion of Mitnik's quest. The Nocturne Theatre is, obviously, the same place where LaCroix has your sire beheaded. As a Nosferatu I had Obfuscate, so I decided I'd have a look around - for sentimental reasons, you know. What I saw was all of the characters in that opening cutscene gathered together one side of the theatre's gallery. The Sherif, LaCroix, Jack, VV, Nines, Damsel, Therese. The whole gang, all standing around together. Right in the middle there was one guy I couldn't identify. He was all psychadelic. It was the silouette of somebody's character model, but the rendering was screwed up. He looked like he was made of rainbow static.

I believe this is a bug introduced by the unofficial patches. Anybody with Obfuscate or high stealth (to avoid being spotted by the guards and failing the quest) should be able to check it out.

Glitchie

this was um.... an extrmely interesting and HELPFUL glitch, some of u may have gotten it, i dunno but it was really amusing, its long, but bare with me... its worth it :D

I just finished talking to nines in the park and theres that pain in the *** warewolf, so before finishing the convo with nines, i literally memorized the part of how to kill him coz u know... i could, so i ran into the observatory, getting there and realing i forgot to turn the power on so im like.... yup... this is great.... with no health btw, so i stay at the top of the platform, and the warehound takes a while, but it finds me (why doesnt obfuscate work on waredogs? :'( ) but he came into the room and smashed the stairs up to the platform, i accidentally fell onto that shattered part, which is kinda on top of the beverge stand, and the dog lost me... it paced around the room for a few, which was pretty funny.... before smashing into the next room and pacing around there. and for the whole.. 3 and a half minutes i had left, all i had to do was sit until the cart came... then run for my life, but it was worth it, lol

Fell through the floor

I was doing the ritual thing in the Internet Cafe (Snuff II). Many of you have experienced the "falling into the ground" glitch, where you sink into the ground and are unable to move. Well, I fell *through* the floor. I was able to function fully in every respect but one - I was not able to get above the floor. I could see what was above the floor, move around and do everything else - I just couldn't get above the floor and interact with anything. I had to reload to correct things, but that was well and truly weird.

Rainbow cemetery!!!

This morning, the graffiti/rainbow texture was loaded instead of the grass, so when I went in the cemetery, everything around the graves was rainbow-coloured! :speech: was awesome hehehe!
I game, therefore I am.

LOL I see you exp this one

Yeah I ran into the characters when I set up the camera and then decided to fall to the floor on the stage and missed while the guard was right there and vivi comes running up beside me looking around. I was like wtf. Then I realized I could stealth kill every character. Interesting thing is if you stealth kill therese she doesnt die like everyone else she just hits the floor. Hmm makes me wonder, but everyone else combusted. Funny thing to was that the cop was still standing on the stage with his gun looking for me and obfuscate turned off and he still didnt see me. I noticed the checkered character as well, I think this might be a glitch or an easter egg. I came here to the forum to see if anyone has exp this and I see you ran into it too but more out of wandering around to check things out. It freaked me out when vivi came up wasnt expecting that. lol. now I'm gonna check and see if this screws up the game by killing every character lol.

not weird, but hilarious

You know that annoying hostess in the Red Dragon Restaurant, how she will go over to the bar and then talk (I'm assuming to her girlfriend on the phone)?

Well, I got so tired of her attitude, I fed on her (but not all the way) so she was in that stunned state... and then she started to talk while her head was still down and she was swaying. Made me laugh out loud. :)

Ah, that reminds me, it's also not a glitch but I found it's hilarious... if you jump on peoples heads you can knock them down s they fall, roll around and so. I first discovered it when Yukie was waiting for me in front of the fishmarket... I jumped down on her from the platform and she fell on her butt and rolled. I looked so funny. Later I discovered I can jump with crouch on someones head and it is interesting to watch them (and they don't protest, so you can knock them around as much as you wish).

It's silly, but you might try that for giggles :)
ROMERO: If you should see any zombies in that time, you need to put them down. Just don't let them bite you.
PC: Why? Do you turn into a zombie if they bite you?
ROMERO: Naw, it just hurts like a bitch.

I picked up an unusual glitch recently, which is starting to get abit annoying. On my new character whenever I walk down one of the roads leading from the Venture tower to the Last Round bar in Downtown I hear the sounds of a women screaming as if she's running away from something. I look all around but there's no sign of anything and it sticks with me for ages, it was quite funny the first.. 2 times.

On a similar note, a cute thing that is only achievable in certain circumnstances, but is fun nonetheless. As an example, I use the SOC quest when you make your way into the catacombs. There is that initial spot where you drop down several spiralling levels of ledge to take out one patrolling guard and one stationary guard. If you can kack the patrolling guard from the ledge without alarming the stationary guard, then you can position yourself directly above the stationary guard. From there, if you do it right, you can literally drop right onto his neck. You step over the ledge directly above him, and just before you fall on him, you hit Feed, and you literally land on his neck, feeding.

I think the weirdest i found was at the patron of arts quest.

I got stuck at the laser grid and started to save after i had managed to pass just one when i realized that the lasers stopped flashing on and off.. So therefore i loaded a game some time before the laser grid and smashed the control and waited until almost all the lasers had turned off and then i saved and when i loaded that game i saved.. All the lasers except two were completely off

So you see?
When you save, all the lasers halt at their current mode.
Either on or off.

Discipline Modification

I finally went over the deep end to see just how far I could go with discipline modification. I made a Tremere character with 11 disciplines. Problems:

After nine disciplines, you can only change them through the cheat console.
With nine disciplines, your hotkey selections will be eventually trimmed to 2.

Inasmuch as it is awfully difficult to max out even three disciplines within the strictures of the game, having more than three is practically useless except as an exercise. If you decide to attempt more than three, though, there are consequences.

The weirdest glitch I have come across only happens with my Malk character. Everyone in the game will disintagrate like vampires when killed yet I can feed off of them like normal annd everything else works like normal. Maybe its just cause Malk's are inherently insane that this happens dunno but I find it kinda funny commiting diablerie on people that are siuppossedly human yet disintagrate like vampires:laugh:

I found that problem originating in the unofficial patch, like I mentioned in this thread:http://gamebanshee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70322

Woh.

Wierdest Glitch I've ever seen was just now.

I was playing a Brujah character brawler type, with 5 points in Celerity, at the bottem of the Brotherhood area. The are with Grunfeld Bach. Anyway, after fighting him about 4-5 times, toying with him (Dodging sniper rounds is pretty simple with celerity 5) I decided to try hurling stuff at him. Unfortunately, the only things that I found that did damage to him where the boxes on the piles of 3, and those are the only ones that you can move. Well, about the 5th time through, I picked up a box, and sprinted up the stairs he starts at, unfortunately, on the way up, I smashed it against the railing, making it unusable for throwing. I went back down and saw the mannequins. I grabbed one and sprinted back up stairs, more carefully, made the turn, charged up about 2 steps and hurled it. It flew blindingly fast and smashed him in the skull for exactly 500 points of damage. He vanished as soon as it smacked him, giving me the feeling he had been disintegrated on impact. ^_^

Patch 1.2 only, but still pretty funny, gonna see if I can reproduce this.

Edit: I've been able to reproduce this flawlessly time after time, anyone else able to do it? If so, I think this may be a good way to get past bach in seconds painlessly. Oh yeah, and with differing positions, I noted that he dissappeared because of his proximity to the wall, changing position and then beaning him with it causes him to fly off a decent ways.

That's not actually that weird. I know women who do it. Normally very body-proud women who are, naturally, pleased with their endowment and like to show it off. They can make them to that by any number of means, like flexing the pectoral muscles, and subtly bouncing up and down on the balls of their feet so they look stationary but are not.

Elevator problems in Downtown?

Hello, everyone, I'm new.

My friend loaned me this game to try out because ran a tabletop Vampire RPG for six years.

However I'm finding it very difficult.

For example, in terms of glitches, I've never been able to get the elevator in the Empire Hotel to work (thus blocking off at least two of my quests) and now the Skyline apartment elevator isn't working either for me since I started the Necromantic quest.

Anyone else have these problems and what did you do about them?

spoiler

Are you a nosferatu? If so, you have to use the air vents to get to the quest locations. You can use the vents no matter the clan. In the Empire, you get to the vent from the outside, on the side of the hotel, over a dumpster. At Skyeline, the vent is in the basement.
