Forty hours? Nah, couldn't last that long.

Oh, I'm sure they understand it, but they don't like hearing the same things over and over again out of me and chu's mouths. :D :mischief:

Well, I have no problem with Queen talk but as long as it is understood that we can also talk about other things while you're talking about Queen.

And of course sometimes we'll take the mickey out of you Queen fans. :D

I second Lestat's post.

And yeah, it was called the '40 Hour Famine', where, obviously you go without food for 40 hours.

I started at night, after dinner, then went through until a late breakfast 2 days later. The only hard bit was the last 3 hours... they were hell.

Yeah. I hate to say it, but Lestat is right. :D :p

We had the same thing here, but it was only 30 hours. I didn't volunteer for it though. I'd cheat. :(
I normally dread breakfast... well, basically, I'm lazy first thing in the morning. Which used to lead to me skipping it because I didn't feel like it... lucky I'm great at fasting.
Ditto. I only bother with something to eat before I leave the house if it's going to be quite a few hours before I next eat again.
At least it means I can lose some weight. ;)
@Rav: I've got more questions, basically, do you want me to list 25 deities?
Each of the panels on the chest has a picture on it (from the rows I referred to on the picture website). Each of those pics relate to a deity. Look up which deity has which 'beliefs' and find the one which matches the clue.
Wow, that's a big clue. :p

30, pfft :p .

Well, I didn't exactly 'sign up'. I was actually too young to do the full 40, due to supposed health issues, so I just did it for personal satisfaction.

Probably makes me sound crazy, but hey! :D

@Rav: Losing weight is the last thing I need to do... I need to gain some. But thanks to my metabolism, it's impossible to gain weight.

Oh, now I get it. I'll look now, and thanks.

 But isn't skipping breakfast worse for you than eating it? Didn't "they" do a huge study on that?

Nope, DJV, not crazy at all. I do weird stuff all the time just to see if I can.

Yeah, you'll gain more by skipping breakfast. It's better to have something light, like fruit.

Thanks, it makes happy to know that I am still crazy... but you are too :p . I'll probably do it for real this year though.

*shrugs* I have trouble finding stuff I like to eat. and if I'm not hungy in the morning I'm less inclined to go to the trouble of finding something I want to eat.
E.G. at the moment I like tuna a lot and I'm eating that quite a bit, if I was to stop liking that, then I'd have to find something else to eat.
As for breakfast, I don't really like that many cereals etc, toast is fine I suppose. Oh, I'm allergic to eggs among other things which also rules that out. :o

I couldn't manage a 40-hour fast though. :p
Oh, now I get it. I'll look now, and thanks.
No problem. I just hope I haven't made it too easy. :p

I had a friend who was allergic to milk but she still ate stuff with milk in it.

Oh man, being allergic to eggs must be really annoying. Is it often that products you buy contain eggs without realising, or do you check them first?

The easiest way is to take your mind off it, sleep, read, watch tv, and don't burn anything... oh, and don't have people sitting next to you eating something mouthwatering... :p .

Nope, I'm getting a few now... I also want to know what happens if I get it wrong :D .

For your weight: the main point is how many calories you take in and how many you burn... when and how has fairly little infuence. Who wants to loose weight will have to eat less. period.

What about gaining weight? Especially when you burn everything you eat.

Aahh, well, it's not as if it matters, I'm used to being this weight, and I'd prefer it over the opposite.

Though it's a tad weird when people comment about it while swimming  .

Yeah, I can eat stuff with low egg content like cakes. Not eggs themselves as far as I know, though or things like lemon meringue which have a high content of eggs.
It is possible that my allergic reaction has died down over 15 or so years, but I don't think anyone was willing to test that out when I was younger. The reaction was bad, I know that much.

And I'm not eating less to lose weight, that's just the side-effect, it's not like I'm anorexic (or is it bullimia?) or anything like that.

I don't know much about food allergies. What happened when you ate eggs?

Meh, I remember a couple times when people discovered what they're allergic to. Including an incident with gypsona.

I think it was back when I was in nursery school/kindergarten, I must have had some lemon meringue and found it very hard to breathe among other things. I don't remember it, just what I was told about that time (and I can't remember most of that either  :p ).
