Help, stuck in Draedoth Temple

Post by kidc »

Hey guys. I think I did something really stupid. I got in the Draedoth Temple and went down to the lower level and got to a blocked doorway. There is a gate in the way. I actually was able to climb it and now i'm stuck up there and i can't get down. Now for the stupid part. I saved the game and don't have any other saved games to go back to. Is there a way to get down off this thing or am I hosed and have to start all over again?? Any ideas?

I tried the rolling and flipping stuff but that didn't work. Can any of the hex editors be used to edit the save game and maybe put myself back before I got in this temple?

Unfortuneatly, doing so is no easy task. In fact, it might be impossible. Do as BadMutha explained you to do first. If that fails, well... there might be no other options.
Although if it existed some sort of noclip function somewhere in the game you might be saved.
Player: "Elves have strange powers."
Sten: "Being easily conquered does not constitute a 'power'."

I have gotten stuck a couple of times in the game (between a chest and a wall, a tree and a rock, etc.). This usually has happened due to battles pushing me where I did not intend to go (but not always, *sheepish grin*). I have managed to get free a few times by waiting for a spawn and attacking whatever monster(s) appears while jumping, rolling, etc. It appears that clipping is altered during battle somewhat, which, of course, makes sense. Anyway, good luck.

Thanks guys for all your help. As it turns out I had a saved copy on a zip drive. I switched the game from one computer to another. I loaded that save file down and just played until I got caught up and surpassed the old save game. Appreciate it. This game is tough enough on it's own without making dunb mistakes like that one.
