HELP!!!...Can't get ToB multiplayer to work - Macintosh

Post by Doug Jenik »

HELP!!! After completing full install of SoA, install of ToB, and installation for the latest patch to v2.1.2, I am still having technical difficulties getting the ToB expansion to support multiplayer. The app appears to work fine in single player but when another player attempts to join in multiplayer, the client errors out . The client appears to join and is able to see and assume/ be assigned control of a character but when attempting to actually start the game, while attempting to establish a session with the client errors out with the following error being displayed - “An Assertion failed in the InfGame.cpp at line number 6389”. I have tried to use both the v2.1.2 and provided V2.0 apps but the same exact result occurs. I have also, gone through the pain of performing a full reinstall of SoA and ToB with the same results. HELP!!! I’ve run out of options on how to fix this. How do I get ToB multiplayer to work properly or at all.

System Specs are: Mac OS X 10.2.8; 512Mb RAM; 1Ghz PowerPC G4 Processor; Graphics card is standard NVDA GeForce 4 MX that came with the iMac.

ME TOO! I have a G4 Dual Processor PowerPC running OS X 10.4.4. I have played the single player game for quite some time now with no problems, but I really wanted to try a game with all my own characters. I can import and/or create the 6 characters, but the game always crashes with that same message about the "assertion failed". PLEASE, can somebody help me out?

PS I did notice that no one responded to Doug Jenik's message??? If this is because the answer is something terribly obvious to everyone but me, then I apologize in advance for having a 'blonde moment'!
