Just my two cents but I think it would attract more traffic by having several media. People will check it more regularly, so more regular replies, so more people etc.
So it would be an an Anything But Music forum? :p ;) (because you could include theatre and other performance arts)

Maybe a 'culture' Forum? Though I'm not certain on how much that would encompass though, as it would be open to interpretation.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

To encompass everything, we should probably set the forum up to be used for all entertainment-related discussions (aside from video games, of course). It could simply be called "Other Entertainment" and movies, television, music, and comics could all be mentioned in the description. How does that sound?

Sounds good, hopefully we will finally get some discussions on books and movies that wont get bumped back to the third page from spam and news.

That's a lot of the threads in SYM in the earlier days. I've already started making a list, but I'll scrap it and add all this as well. My question is simple though. We should leave such things like Obituaries in SYM, right? What about fan threads? Where would things such as cast members and producers go? Should they stay in SYM... or be moved?

Er... one other thing. Right now, the major thread there, Dungeon Crawling, is pretty much laughing at the current comic with some off the side stuff. The section might have to be a little more lenient on 'spam'. Not to say totally off topic stuff goes, but such things in comic threads/tv episode discussions will have a lot of 'That was funny!' posts. Just a litte bit I thought might be good to point out.

I think there will still be a lot of restrictions on it, but personally it looks like a little bit of leniency might be needed in the cases I described above, compared to, say, the Baldur's Gate II forums. Encouraging longer posts would be a good idea, but given the type of entertainment, it could be expected that some posts will be a little shorter. Just IMHO.

Threads like the Anime thread, I have no idea. People like fable, Aegis and Rookierookie who participated more in it at the moment and have read through its entirety (and also knows what half the things are) would know more on that.
No matter where the thread is I will still keep bumping it with new info, as there still seem to be a few readers.

I think this is the best option available.
I have read Hill-Shatar's comment, but as there are always some difficulties to identify which threads belongs where anyway, and also people realised the original subject matter has changed as they start discussing within the threads (like, talking about certain movie and ended up with political discussion), I do not think it is necessary to make very strict line in between nor indeed possible. We already have seen many threads moved from one forum to another time to time.

As for the series of TVs, I think you can just make rule "not to make threads on each episodes of the same TV series unless absolutely necessary". This should prevent people everyday to make new threads on every Big Brother episodes. And then, if the certain program threads became over crowded, just let them know to go to the according program's forums to discuss further.

After all, GameBanshee is primarily gaming, especially RPG site, and that matters the most.

I've went ahead and altered the forum to be "Other Entertainment." If there are any posts in SYM or other forums that you'd like me to move over, please let me know.

Should we include older threads, or just the newer ones?

A selfish suggestion perhaps, but shouldn't redirects be left in SYM just like any other moved threads?

Some of the recent threads moved in SYM were simply placed to keep SYM looking somewhat neat, I suppose. However, I sent along a series of threads to be moved to Buck, which would take time to move, especially if you did them individually. It is more than likely he just moved them all at once, and left no redirects as they were unnecessary for the majority of the threads.

Either way, they were moved already. The only way to get those redirects would be for me to move them back and then for an SYM mod to move them again with a redirect...

If it is really an issue, or could become one in your views, you could ask an SYM mod to make a sticky on it that they could delete in one or two weeks, to fend off confusion.

Yes, and if redirects were left, the whole moving for making SYM look neat would have been pointless, since IMO lots of redirects make the forum look quite confusing and so on
