I'm sure I'm not the first to have done this , but I went around every town I could have weapons in, Killed everyone and then bought their houses. When I ran out of money after buying every shop and house in the town I did the handy Oakvale emerald trick. I now own every house in: Oakvale, Knothole Glade, Snowspire and Hook Coast. Im currently working on Bowerstone, But its really difficult. Even if I can get them to follow me, after I kill them and return to bowerstone theres no house for sale. I can make more money with just he emerald trick but, this seems more fun.

how do you do the emerald trick?
Fable is extremely fun. :D

The "emerald trick" is a method for making money. Read the stickied Fable FAQ for more information.

The Only way I know of is to do the "Investigate The Mayor" quest and choose to expose Lady Grey. Lady Grey Leaves and you supposedly become mayor. I have yet to do this quest fully because I chose to marry the b... witch before I finished it and didn't get the choice. I won't make the same mistake this time round. Plus, all you lose from not marrying her is the money and the Dollmaster weapon.
