sorry if this is the wrong place for this post...
i was wondering if anyone has played either game on the xbox 360? apparently it's backward compatible but you need an emulator... do you need xbox live for this?
xbox 360 & KOTOR games
as far as I know, one does need to download something off of Live to get the gamesto run on the 360.
As for a laptop, dont waste your money, unless your are going to use it for primarily work, and not gaming, you can build your own computer that is much better than any laptop for much less than a top of the line laptop.

Xbox:
Processor - 733 MHz 32-bit x86 w/SSE, 1 core
GPU - 233 MHz NVidia NV2A, 125 million polygons/sec
APU - NVidia MCPX, 64 3D channels (256 stereo)
Memory - 64 MB (200 MHz DDR), 6.4 GB/sec, 32 KB L1 cache, 128 KB L2 cache
Bus - 133 MHz FSB
Storage - 8 GB HD, 2-5x DVD
Xbox 360:
Processor - 3.2 GHz 64-bit PPC w/ VMX128, 3 cores, 2 hardware threads per core
GPU - 500 MHz ATI custom, 10 MB EDRAM, 500 million polygons/sec

hmm...
Spoiler
if you're reding this you have no life.
the system specs needed are in this thread - i asked about them a few weeks ago
http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/showt ... quirements
the biggest prob i find with games is due to my graphics card. i just have a shared graphics chip which is the cause of most problems. the above link tells you the supported graphics cards but others, like mine, do actually work with the game. it may be an idea to get a 256mb card rather than a 128mb card as this would help performance a bit. your processor looks ok, i have a pentium4 but i think its the same speed so it should be fine. before you buy the pc though, check that the graphics card is fully compatible with direct x 9c if you want to be able to play any game pretty much with no problems as not all graphics cards fully support it.
