multi-great houses

Post by JabbaDaStupid »

I know you can't be in more than one great house without cheating, but is it possible to become guildmaster of a greathouse, get thrown out for stealing, join another and become guildmaster again, get thrown out and join the third?

just as a way to do all the missions you can with a super uber everything character like mine (his names Jesus!)

no, i dont think that works, i tried it on xbox because when i was low lvl i killed the guy you get a land deed (or something) from in the hlaalu canton of vivec in the vaults when i was looting them, so when i became lvl 79 kajit, i coulnt be guild master or have a house in the hlaalu guild which i was in. thus, i stole so i got kicked out of the guild, expelled and all, then went over to sadrith mora and tried to join telvanni, but they wouldnt let me T_T so no i dont think that will work.
anybody want to become a mangaka?

Certain versions had a glitch you could ascend in either Redoran or Telvani and then become the Master of Hlaalu - not to join in usual order. However, no Hlaalu stronghlod then.
And it was obvious bug, since it's clearly stated that you could join only one House and won't be ever accepted by other after you'd chosen once.

As Loredweller points out, though that was only the original MW release, without patches or either add-on. If you get kicked out of a House, no other House will take you in.

I got the GotY to Xbox and I'm trying to get strongholds fore both Televani and Hlaalu but I can get Hlaalu to start the building process...
Have you "only" joined the houses or do you have strongholds fore both?
I got Morrowind on Xbox.

You only get 1 stronghold.

However, the other 2 are completely accessible and offer services to house members, I believe.

I believe I have read that you can get tow strongholds by stealing a second land deed(?) from the duke in ebonhart (if you have a very high sneak (preferably 100) and a very good chameleon), I have done this but they never built the second stronghold fore me...
I got Morrowind on Xbox.

AFAIK as soon you build your main faction stronghold other two appears of the same stage as your's. So wait until your main one is complete (all 3 stages) and then go for Hlaalu GM. Btw, there are faction quests to eliminate your other House rival - the master of the new stronghold of rival House.

IIRC they are only on Telvanni.

There's at least one for a Redoran, too. Maybe it's optional, do not really know, since i usually try to perform all the House duties. IIRC, it's given in Vivec. It's long since now when i last time had got so far.

Isn't the Redoran plot more a matter of a single bad egg? The Telvanni, on the other hand, seem to be believe in the Survival of the Fittest where being fit consists of killing your job competition with fireballs and anything else that comes to mind.

IIRC, Redorans just believed that Telvani felt too free to invade Redoran (or perhaps Temple's) lands and it was time to taught them a lesson. One lesson has already been given, one could evidence that since one was sent to bring the report (optional, i guess) from that dwelling in foyada near Falasmaryon - Shishi, IIRC. Now was your turn to hit your rival (one who would be you if you'd made the another choice) in that House.

The Hlaalu also have quests where you eliminate the rival faction heads.
