arcane spell failure question
Does arcane spell failure only count for wizard spells? for some reason i was under the impression that "arcane spell failue" meant "spell failure". does the spell failure on armor and shields differentiate between divine and arcane spells (i.e. clerics can wear heavy armor). if that is the case, do druid spells count as arcane or divine?

Druids are divine, since they draw their spells from both nature and whatever deity they may revere. Divine spellcasting is drawn upon by holy power, which could be seen more vocal in usage than the required movement of arcane spellcasters. In short, divine spells are WAY different than arcane, and there's little to say beyond that.
Arcane spell failure counts for spells cast by Wizards, Sorcerers, AND Bards. If you're interested, in, say, having a Bard with light armor (example, maybe leather armor or a shield), you might wish to go with the 'Armored Arcana' feats, which reduces arcane spell failure w/ armor equipped by 5% per point in the feat, to a total of 15% reduction. For instance, a Bard that equips a buckler (5% chance of spell failure) and has one point in Armored Arcana would have NO chance of spell failure, but wearing chainmail AND having all three points in Armored Arcana would guarantee just a smaller percent chance to fail at casting an arcane spell. Still, you may wish to consider other feats in that case, but I just thought I'd show you some options.
Overall, be careful not to equip Wizards, Sorcerers, and Bards with equipment that cause Arcane Spell Failure (ie: non-robe body armor and shields), and you should be fine. Helmets, bracers/gauntlets, and other pieces of equipment not specified in the parenthesis won't cause a problem, so you should be all set.
