Pimpin For Romero Quest Question
Pimpin For Romero Quest Question
All right - I know that if you play a female you can complete this quest without leaving his place but I'm playing a female Malkavian and it won't let me stay and just fulfill the quest there with him! My only option is to go find the girl out on the streets for him. Is it because I'm playing a Malkavian??

Alright, I already know about the page that link sent me to, and it does not answer my question at all. It just says "if your character is female, you can do this yourself". Well, my character is female and I can't do it. But what is meant by "decent appearance"? My Malk still wears the original outfit... I know I can get new duds from that dude downtown... would those work?
Don't know the minimums, but I had an Appearance of 3 and Subterfuge of 2 for a Seduction of 5 at the time. I would imagine if you have a low seduction or appearance, you are not the person he is interested in. Otherwise you could not be following the order of dialog to get the option, or you have a bug.
I must have a bug because I have subterfuge 4 and appearance 4. Odd. I'm not quite sure what dialogue options to follow with a Malk. I accidentaly killed Jeanette because I wasn't sure which option would convince them to stay together. Though I've tried different things and I'm getting sick of having to reload because I'm playing this on a laptop and it takes forever to reload. I guess I'll just have to find his gal.
ok, this quest is really bugging me. I did the other way, finding a hooker for Romeo. I pay the hooker, bring her back to the hole in the cemetery wall, zone in.. no hooker. I go talk to Romeo, still no hooker. I never get any dialoge about the graveyard. She stops me half way down the path, says "show me what you got" I always choose not here, a little further, but no matter what I do, I can not get her to zone into the grave yard.. anyone help?

If she says that, you have selected the incorrect dialogue when picking her up. Using a non-Malk character you have to tell her that this is for a friend of yours, then that he is the cemetery, then get a special persuade response to get her to follow. If you haven't done that, you can't complete the quest. So just feed on her a little to make yourself unattached again, and then try again with either her or someone else. She stops me half way down the path, says "show me what you got"

Considering that you've only posted twice before the above, you're not quite an expert on other people hanging around, here. There's plenty of daily activity in this forum. Just not necessarily within the first hour that somebody posts a question.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

I had this problem as well and the only way I got around this was to move very slowly once I passed through the hole in the wall. I stepped forward a few steps, turned around, and then went back to the large mausoleum on the right and found her standing behind it. Then all you have to do is move forward to make contact with her, then she will follow you to Romero's.

Odd side effect of this quest...
Completed the quest okay when I did it, but for some reason, the hooker followed me instead of staying with Romero. Now, whenever I go to the cemetery to access the Warrens, there is a hooker standing next to the hole in the wall on the inside of the graveyard. An odd side effect of this quest.

Ya know, I was trying to thank the person that helped me thru this quest, and you turn it on it's ear, and make it sound bad. I was not in anyway Bashing, and saying that replys were slow. As I just found this game a week ago, and found these boards by accident, I was just expressing relief that a game that is at least a year old, still hold interest for people, and those people are willing to help others. But thanks for showing that is more than one way to read a post.

with a malk it can be tricky - i can remember having trouble getting it as you have to choose the right dialogue options, something that is not always easy as a malk have you tried different conversation options? not tried patch 2.0 so not sure if that may cause problems with the quest, all i know is it works fine with patch 1.8. persuasion of 4 should easily be enough to complete that quest so its not that which is the problem.
To get the "Pimpin' for Romero" quest you should not outright refuse the Zombie quest. You first say you want to do it, and when Romero has explained what you need to do, you ask if there isn't anything else you can do.
As malk it is of course just a tiny bit more difficult to figure out what is what.
