empty theatre

Post by Celacena »

I did the find mr H in the sewers quest and found him. my journal says that I had found the right jewel too.

now when I have gone back to the theatre to report (and having played it before) reasonably expecting another quest - there is nobody home. funnily enough I can't seem to find the jewel - could I have sold it by accident? did Mr H steal it when I didn't keep him in the party? I expected that even if I had lost the jewel (I might have lost it when somebody got killed), the original quest to rescue Mr H had been completed and I should be rewarded for that if nothing else.

any thoughts?

it was some game-days back that I defeated mr H's captor and having popped back in there, I couldn't find the jewel where it would have been - is there a time-critical window for reporting back?

No, to my knowledge there is no time limit.

Now, you say they aren't there, and you don't have the jewel...

Try one of two things:
1) Go to the far back, and check around, if they aren't there then...
2) Go to the Fireplace, and see if a portal is active.

And if both of those things don't work, your best bet is to CLUA them in, and add the jewel again.
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

the same happened to me last time i played - if you kick haer-dalis out of your party before you return to the theatre he takes the jewel with him and they go through the portal without you and you cannot follow them.

which means...

that I have lost the chance for that quest, the xp for returning and all the loot that could have been picked up, not to mention the XP.

darn it!

I have got considerably further since that quest - possibly as much as 20 game-days.
will need to think about whether it is worth going back that far.

when i missed it after kicking him out i just gave myself the items i wanted from the planar prison bit using shadowkeeper. you could also give yourself some xp if you wanted. it would mean you wouldn't have to go all the way back to do it again. (it is kinda cheating though lol)

Shadowkeeper

I don't mind taking advantage of bad AI, but I don't like the temptation of consoles. It is one thing to pump up Nalia's thieving and go shoplifting then sell the stuff back - got to 75k from 10 before I got bored - but just giving yourself items makes it too easy, it seems to me.
perhaps if I check exactly what I would have got I could let myself do it once - as the game is sort of bugged - unless of course I could reset the end of that quest and teleport myself in.

I will have to think about it.

PS

boots of speed - gotta find a way to get them...
