Changing Party Formation

Post by Chingiz »

Does anyone know how to change Party Formation on the load screen? Every time I exit an area, the new screen loads with my characters in the order I created them. My mage winds up in the front ranks and my ranger and dwarf tank are in back. It's quite frustrating, especially since every time you enter an new load area you usually get ambushed.

I had this problem in BG2. I couldn't figure out how to change it so this is what I did: export your characters, then load a new game. delete the characters that you want to move and import the characters you want in their place. a bit of a pain, but it's all I could think of.

Really? I don't remember ever having that problem in BG2, but then again I haven't ever played multiplayer, just single player with NPCs. I would have played multiplayer if I could figure out how, but that's a topic for the BG2 board.

I have never had this happen to me. Once I change the order of portraits the characters stay there on screen (even though they remain in order of creation on save screen).

Patch?

lack of patch could very likely be the problem. I don't have the BG2 or IWD patches.

I don't think it's a missing patch, because I haven't patched anything and my game doesn't do that. Unless HoW provides an upgrade to fix the problem... Hm... I wonder... :p
