I have a question about this selling and buy back thing with books. I have tried this with Trip, and the Voyuer book. I found it, sold it to Trip, bought it back, zoned out, zoned back in, and the book was not in his sell list, and I was out about 50$.
How is this suppossed to work? Exactly if you don't mind. I could really use the help, thanks.
with trip i think you have to buy them back before leaving the shop. you sell hte book, then exit the conversation/sell screen. then ask to see the goods again and buy it back. i know in downtown you can sell them without them disappearing when you leave the area.
You need to buy back the books immediately. You sell it, buy it back close out the merchant screen, read it, buy another copy, and read it. Always save before you do it to be certain you'll have enough money.

Sounds to me like (if you are ready to use the book) you sell it, buy it back, use it, then somehow but another one and use that....
When you have a book, don't use it as it will disappear after use. Instead, make sure you have enough money to buy a couple of copies of the book, then go to Trip and sell the book without using it. Now exit the selling screen (but not the store) and then access the buy/sell screen again and buy it back. Use it then exit the buy/sell screen again and then access it again and buy another copy and use that. Once you leave the actual shop though, the books you sold will disappear so you have to do this in one visit to the store.
Yes, that's correct.
Always sell the books to a Merchant, buy it use it and reenter the buy screen, buy again and use again.
This works with the 1 & 2 books as well as the 3 & 4 books. if you check my Custom thread it has a breakdown, though it's a bit outdated, It's in my third post.
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.
However, i am still unsure as to the point of it! Does it allow you to buy multiple copies of the book where normally you would only have 1 (the one you sell)?
