Highest and lowest level you've finished the game without cheating (poss. Spoilers)
So, people. What is the highest level you've ever achieved in KOTOR2 without cheating or using an exploit? For clarification, I'd count as an exploit anything you do more than once for no other reason but to give you extra experience, such as infinite Hsiss or repeated mine-laying. How high can you get simply by diligently taking every legitimate opportunity to get experience?
I'm just finished with a LS character at level 29...anyone done better?
I'm also curious to see what the lowest level anyone has ever managed to finish on might be; I've never tried this myself...

I think the first time I played as a Sentinel/Watchman, I had the bare minimum of experience...maybe level 24?
My highest was as a Darksider...and I messed around with the respawning Hsisississs things in the tomb on Koriban. I think I was a 16 consular, 15 Sith Marauder for a total level of 31. But I wanted to go higher, but there's not much point...at that level you're already destroying anything in your path by yourself anyway.

Sometimes I do what I want, most of the time, I do what I have to.

Both times LS, I made it through the game as a level 19 sentinel/8 Watchman, and my highest was a 15 Sentinel/16 Watchmen (Erm... maybe 15, not sure) after I went through the walkthrough and found out all the items I missed.
It also helps if you lift mines, etc, instead of blowing them up. After about 100 mines on Goto's ship, EXP begins to build up.

They say on the 3rd time through the game, the partys diaolog changes...but you have to have a female as your 3rd party memeber.
Spoiler
Also if you want the most xp in the game you'll need almost all skills at 30, and always have Kreia in your party.
hmm...:laugh:

if you're reding this you have no life.
Wow. I'm impressed. What am I missing, I wonder? I was about 5000XP short of level 30, and I'm pretty sure I did everything possible (stationary NPC mode to avoid them running over mines, getting Mira/Hanharr to run through the JJT base without killing, so that my character could do it and get the XP, keeping my SEC up to the maximum allowed so that I could open all doors etc.) What have I missed? I've checked the walkthroughs and I don't think I'm missing any quests...
The only thing I can think of is that if you do GOTOs yacht later it may be possible for your rescuers to dodge round all the enemies so that you can kill them after picking up your PC, but when I try I have always found this fatal, possibly because on my machine GOTOs yacht has a bad case of Dantooine Drag...

please correct me if i'm wrong but i'm sure you get the experience if you use another character on goto's yacht and on the dxun tomb thingy, just like they get your experience.....

i think if your party get the xp then you do but if you go solo, they do not get it or not as much i don't think, because i finished first time 4 levels ahead of anyone else in my party (after they have levelled up fully) and this time i am already 2 or 3 levels ahead with onderon and korriban still to do (i've done dxun, nar shaddaa and dantooine). if it was shared out even if you are solo then surely they would all be at the same level.

I'm not sure on this... but I remember using Bao-Dur to pick up all the mines (EXP per each you pick up and it was my first planet, so that was a fair bit of EXP) after picking up the Exile on the way to the Bridge. That played no small part in the leveling process. Not to mention having Kreia on the majority of the excursions.
Those on the Ebon Hawk (or not with you... remember, you spent a lot of time alone on Peragus, and I don't remember how much the others level up to. Then there's places like the Jekk Jekk Tar...) still get some EXP to my knowledge, just a fraction.
In the end of my first game, GO-TO was a lot less than Handmaiden, and I'm fairly sure both were fully leveled. I just used the Handmaiden a lot more than GO-TO.

About Highlight 1... () Could you please clear that up a bit? Does it mean that the main character in the 3rd game needs to be female? And do the first two playthroughs need to have female PCs as well? Are there any alignment requirements (as in, both playthroughs need to be LS, for example)?
I'm sorry if I'm being annoying here (and definitely going off-topic), but I'm really interested in this.

You should do so well as to be sucked into the engine of some evil Sith Lord, you know.
No, Prima said;
Another thing I was looking at...you know when you're about to leave peragus mining facility, and the sith troopers attack;
Spoiler
that you should finish the game as a DS & LS, then on your 3rd time through the game, all characters will have extra dialogs, but you have to have your 3rd party member be female.
Spoiler
anyway you have to kill 25 of them...but; the thing is if you kill them with the cannon you miss out on 125 xp from each trooper, so those that blast then miss out on a possible 3125 xp, if you don't let them board the ebon hawk.
hmm...:laugh:

I though this was a known bug, and I thought I'd tested it myself and confirmed it, but perhaps I'm wrong. I was 100 percent sure I wrote down my character's XP before going into one of the 'PC not present' sections, completed it (I think it was Mira letting me into the base) then checked again when I regained control of my PC, and PC had gained no XP...

but mira/hanharr is only your temporary character at that point in the game. try it out when 2 off your other characters board goto's yacht and see what happens.
my character usually levels up when they find me

I'm just about to finish as a 15 Consular, 14 Master, with LS Mastery. Admittedly, I did the spawning Hssiss, but only once. Just to see what would happen.
But I didn't get the influence-success XP points from Disciple, G0-T0 and HK, and I didn't finish the 'Vogga the Hutt' quest (grr...)
I'm quite happy with this, especially since I've got a total of DEX 31, WIS 36. *does happy dance* Don't put me down, I think this is really good for a first playthrough.
