Finding Nines

Post by ceberous »

In another post, I found this:

Put one point in Melee. After the museum mission, go see Nines. He will raise your Melee stat by one point. Grab the Kendo manual from the Skyline apartment 2. increase melee to 3 and 4 by (sell and buy back). Melee can be increased to 5 with the final melee manual at the FU syndicate (lockpick 10 required, dex not so useless after all). Cost - 3XP

After the mansion quest you tell the prince it was Nines, and Nines is gone. How then do I go see after the museum quest, if Nines is under ground, and will not reviel himself?

BTW, i already got the point of brawl, this is as stated, for a point of melee. thanks.

After Grout's mansion, you won't see Nines again until the end of the game. To get a free point of Brawling from him, you need to visit him before you go looking for Dr. Grout. I usually hit him up first thing after I get downtown.

If you really want that free point in brawling, you're going to have to reload and earlier save point.

That museum mission is after the Elizabeth Dane mission and before Grout's mansion.

No, it isn't. Grout comes first, because the museum quest allows you to get Hollywood.

This confused me too. I have never been able to get melee increases from Nines (and leave myself on melee 0 until I have tried to get it), but can get the +1 in brawl. Some people say you can get both.

I always go to see Nines after meeting the prince downtown. That gets me +1 in brawl. I then go and see Nines after returning from the Elizabeth Dane, but before going to see the Prince. At which point he tells me that he said everything he wanted to say before, and that I should come back in a few nights when he may have time to talk to me. No other options in the dialogue.

So, either I need to go see Nines after talking to the prince but before going to Grout's, or this bonus to melee as well is just a myth. Which is it? Or am I missing something else?

if you go see nine's and get thebrawl then do the elizabeth dane quest then before you go talk to lacroix about the next quest it should work. i've always managed to get both brawl and melee from him so its not a myth

Well, I'm passed that point in my current game. But I will remember that bit of info MR. Sir, for my next game. Thank you for understanding the question I possed.

You are right.

Then talk to Nines before doing the Dane quest - for the brawl point - and before doing the museum, for the melee point. I tend to do a few side quests before the museum, so I may be confused.

I am however sure you can get both a brawl and a melee point.
