Is icewind dale.. more like Diablo Dale then ?

I personaly find story goes along way before hack&slash. Diablo was fun but got boring real fast because of no character interaction. Is it realy just a hack and slash game and also can you import your character from BG2?

I didn't try to import,but if you could it would have to be from BG1.The cap is not high enough for BG2.On interaction i would say it's more like BG1.It does have a good story.

decent story, but mainly hack and slash. plus the ending felt rushed, like it was "oh, we need to have the villain show up so... here he is."
