Ring if Hircine - Spoiler

When you kill Heart-Fang, you get the ring of hircine automatically. I just wonder one thing, if you use it then are you considered a regular werewolf? I would like to know because I don't wanna wear it if it's got the same reprucussions. I think that the only bad thing about being a werewolf is that if someone sees you become it but I'm not sure.

Any help is appreciated.

It makes you a werewolf for six hours, but is not permament.

So every time I put it on, it will last for 6 hours?

If you choose to use it, yes.

Beware, if an NPC sees you transform, you will be marked as a werewolf and attacked on sight even if your not a werewolf.
