Fable TLC: Fishing Competition-Issue

I had previously played using another profile (that I had already deleted by the time this became an issue).

On both of the profiles I had played, I had rescued the fisherman.
He gave me the fishing rod and the fishing lessons.

On the first profile I had played I was able to go back to Fisher Creek and enter the competition.
I entered the competition and one all the prizes the first time.

With this profile when I enter Fisher Creek there is nothing there.
No fisherman, not the guys that sit on the bench.
Nothing.

Has anyone had heard of this happening to anyone else?

OR

Do you have an advice?

I would appreciate it.
Also thanks in advance.

I have searched this forum and searched elsewhere for this question about the fishing competition.

When you first go, there is a cut scene, in which it shows him hiding in the house, and a bunch of wasps outside. You must kill each and everyone one of those, then he will leave the house, and the rest will continue as normal.

I have already rescued the fisherman.

The only time I've seen the fisherman disappear is one time when I killed him.

I had thought about that but when I checked my Hero Status I haven't killed any villagers and I assumed he would be considered a villager.
