I am playing the 6CD version of BG with TotSC on XP and have been getting on well until the tooltips (the little labels) have got out of control during chapter 4.
Eveverytime I point at something, a tooltip instantly appears and I cannot attack anything as its label appears instead (i.e. if I attack a spider, intead of a sword icon, the tooltip "Spider" appears instantly.
I have tried turning them off, but they still appear.
I am using wireless mouse but switching to a wired mouse did nothing.
Help!

Hmm, I was going to suggest that it was a wireless mouse because mine always does wierd things like that when the comp is trying to flash me the low battery message. The screen flickers and I can't click on things correctly. I always hit ctrl/esc and then change the batteries. But you switched mouses already so I am at a loss.
Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL
