NPC interaction (possible spoiler)
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't find any info on what NPCs can interact with each other.
I'm referring to the cutscenes throughout the game were the NPCs in your party start a conversation with each other at certain places.
I know there are interactions between Carth and Mission, Carth and Bastilla, Carth and Canderous, Mission and Zaalbar, Bastilla and Mission. Are there any more?
Also, the Carth/Mission and Carth/Bastilla conversations happen in two parts. I only found one part for the other three. Am I missing something there as well?

When all else fails, try brute force.

I have had:
Bastilla/Jolee
Carth/Mission - there are 2 - argument and reconcilliation
Bastilla/Canderous
Carth/Bastilla
Mission/Zaalbar
Perhaps Mission/Bastilla - can't remember
It depends what characters you use most or maybe character sidequests have some effect. I always used Jolee/Bastilla, so...

Everyone talks Everyone. If you want to leave the game with a huge smile on your face... bring bastila and mission out with you... i garentee you will crack up.
if you want spoilers from any of the convorsations... lemme know

On Taris, you get two interactions between Carth and Mission (mostly about Mission being a child - or not) and two between Mission and Zaalbar (about Wookiee hygiene). The latter may also happen later if you never pair Mission and Zaalbar on Taris. There is also one between Carth and Bastila (about Bastila inexperience with leadership).
I wasn't very successful about getting the other dialogues. I hoped for some between Bastila, Jolee and Juhani, but they didn't happen. I read that there is an interesting dialogue between Carth and Canderous about the differences between a soldier and a warrior, but I never got it although I did the whole of Dantooine with these two in my party. Zaalbar, as far as I know, never talks with anyone but Mission and the player.
Note that some of them are triggered by locations: Mission and Zaalbar always talk at the same place in the sewers, Carth and Mission at the same place in the Upper City.

I've also mentioned the Jolee-Carth one, but no one else said anything about it, so I might as well rant a bit... I got it on Manaan, but admittedly, I've never actually tried it anywhere else. In that one, Jolee basically tells Carth (highlight) It was very nice of him; I'm quite fond of Jolee and I love his strange words of wisdom. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/)
Spoiler
not to think too big of our mission; this war isn't the most important one just because we're in it.
You should do so well as to be sucked into the engine of some evil Sith Lord, you know.
seriously. he is a strange one. *shrugs* another one i liked was candorus and bastila. that one cracked me up like no other. hmm...it seems all my favorites have bastila in them...but oh how i hate her...but thats a different thread. anyway...yea...bastila/candorus and bastila/mission are my favorite converstations. all the other ones seemed a little bit...forced... know what i mean?

One that I just came across the other day that I thought was pretty good, was Bastila and Carth's first conversation where he asks how she was captured by the Vulkars and she says her Force powers were exhausted, then he asks why she didn't just slice and dice them with her lightsaber and she say:
sort of a spoiler I guess...
Bastila: My lightsaber was... misplaced. I couldn't find it after the crash. I looked *everywhere* in that pod. The Vulkars came and overwhelmed me even as I was searching for my weapon.
Carth: Wait a minute, let me get this straight. You *lost* your lightsaber? Ha-ha! I mean, isn't that a violation of some kind of Jedi code or something?
After that your character can say either
"Maybe losing lightsabers is a side-effect of her Battle Meditation."
or
"Of all the Jedi in the galaxy, why do we get one who's absent-minded?"
The PC has so many lines that I just have to laugh at.

I got it on Kashyyyk both times I've played by having Carth and Jolee in the upper shadowlands with me. Never got the Canderous and Bastila one tho...Where can you trigger it?

I've already finished Tatooine and Bastila's quest and now I'm on Manaan. I'll head back and see what happens when I get to play.

I'm pretty sure the NPC conversations aren't actually triggered by location, they happen after the characters have been running around together for a little while. I guess I could be wrong on that, but I've played the game quite a few times and almost all of them have come up at different places from one game to another.

No, you're right. This was a copy of the same thing used by Bioware in Baldur's Gate II. Basically, there's a timer employed, with the likelihood of a dialog interaction increasing as the timer counts up from the last interaction. There was also a mod made for BG2 that sped up that timer, so that party interactions occurred more frequently, but no one has ever done something like that for KotoR--perhaps because the characters never seemed as vivid as in BG2.

To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
Isn't it like the sidequest trigger points? Or the Geno-Hadran or Korriban weapons merchant. Like if you cross a certain point with certain characters - you get different conversations. I always got the Bastilla/Canderous one when I'm walking to the doors to the Dune Sea in Anchorhead usually because I am going to fight Jagi. The Bastilla/Jolee one I often get on Manaan - when I am going to activate the Sunry Quest.
