Where do I get Soul Gems???

Where do I get Soul Gems???

Hey guys, noob question... Where the hell can I buy soul gems? I bought them from the merchant in the Balmora mage guild once but they never seemed to re-appear? Now, there is no where that I know of to get soul gems!?!?! Thanks in advance :)

Ald Ruhn, Vivec, Suran.

Check other cities, the silt strider can take you there rather easily.

They often appear in the crates and barrels you find in smuggler's caves. The higher your level, the better the variety of soul gem. At least, that has been my experience.

All well known fact that the Trader in TelBranora has unlimited stock of 3 lower kinds of gems (i.e. up to Common). If you have Tribunal (GOTY has it), there are few more and richer merchants, AFAIK.

gems

caves, daedric ruins, and some ancestral tombs are the only place that you can
reliably find grand soul gems on a regular basis, and i think they are leveled so if you are not high enough they will not show as often.

You can also find them in the Mage's Guild supply chests. They restock after a period of time.

You can even steal them from some of the Mage Guild desks and such, if you're fast enough. SPOILERS...

For example, one of the quests to the Balmora Mage Guild has you steal and replace something from the Guild Enchanter's desk on the second floor. If you work swiftly, you can really clean out a nice bunch of soul gems, all sorts.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.
