well i was skeptical of her to start with too.

and i have question. Isnt this thread in the wrong forum? Seeing as we are talking about kreia, shouldnt this thread be in the KOTOR 2 forum?

Well, Kreia was never meant to be "likeable." You were suppose to be suspicious of her. There were layers to her character that were deliberately mysterious and it was only natural that you should suspect to learn more about her as the game progresses. It's for that reason that she was a brilliant character. She had a great deal of depth to her.

But, yeah, this should probably in KoTOR2.

Yep - I'm moving it to the K2 forum, where it belongs.

Was it fully explained (or did I just miss it) why Kreia was aboard the Ebon Hawk with you in the first place?
She was already exiled from the Jedi order so she couldn't be a Jedi mentor, could she?

i dont recall hearing an explanation to that. all i know is that she saw something worthwhile in the exile's abilities and wanted to strenghten him and preserve him, as some other thread i read talked about.

i definately didnt like having her on my team. of course, i used her a lot the 1st time cause she had force powers, but i dont think i used her much the second time i played cause i just didnt like her. haha, after playing my first game i thought that mayb if i didnt give her any good powers she wouldnt be as powerful in the final face-off  yeah, right...

Lol! I thought the same thing. So I gave her crap Force Powers and didn't give her any worthwhile feats or attributes.

You might call Kreia odd. She had problems. Maybe even mental. The first time I played though, I trusted here, heeded here teachings. However, towards the end, I started to piece together here complex personnality.

Oh, and make sure that you disable the invulnerability cheat before you lose Kreia in your party. She's bloody hard to kill if you don't, in fact, impossible. (I made that mistake.)

It would still be nice if there were more details about how their first meeting went and why both of them were on the Ebon Hawk.

You want to know more about Kreia? Download Bink Video Player from RAD Video Tools (it's free) and got into the SWKotOR2 folder in Windows and open the movies directory. Watch all the videos in there. There are some that are not in the game, ever, even in the menu!

I'm having much the same problem when it comes to advancing the Handmaiden quests - I can't beat her in sparring matches, because invulnerability's on.

The problem is, I can't find any way to disable it. I've tried typing the code in again, I've tried typing "invulnerability 0", I've even tried looking through the savegame file. Any idea how to remove invulnerability?

I had certainly not liked Kriea. She was too hard to... Please during converstations. She'd be criptic, angry often, and never agreed with anything you did.

When she finally turned at the end, wanting my character to return to Malachore V, I was quick to get there, quick to get through and slaughter her and finally got my revenge...

Lol. I found her creepy from the beggining, and yet... She seemed to be an ideal romodel or "mentor". She was wise beyond all reason, which almost made up for the fact that she looked like a truck hit her. Well, two. Or three... Anyway, I found her useless to gain exp. with but she was AWESOME is you listen to her and consider her teachings

I mostly ignored Kreia my first time through, though I decided at the time to take her with me if there were going to be a bunch of easy enemies, as she gives me an EXP boost.

Also, one thing about Kreia is that it was obvious she was going to change sides, or that she was DS. Reading through the KotOR VS KOTOR II thread, I found it strange when the people there voiced that the plot twist in the first one was obvious when the second one was so in the open that it made the first seemed like a well kept secret.

So no, I didn't like her from the start, since she seemed to always drop my influence with other characters and try to force upon me DS points, and later on I found her almost totally useless in any battle when she didn't happen to have a strong force power in her selection.

It was basicly like having your mother with you everywhere.
She allways disagrees with what you do. I never liked her, I was routing for Sion when he cut her hand off. Why does she never have a Robot hand or anything like Anakin? That annoyed me about her, only ever one weapon.

sometimes i like her, sometimes not. it depends on how i decide to play the game. as a ds/ls mix (i.e. more neutral than anthing but edging towards ds) i quite like having her along. i like the xp and like her dialogue. if i decide to be a purely evil or purely good character then she just annoys me. and like hill-shatar said, i never even noticed a plot twist in kotor2. i figured from the start that she was dodgy, whereas in kotor1 i never saw the twist coming.

what I really found annoying about kreia is that har alignment doesn't seem to change.
but then- even a sith has trouble getting more wrinkles than kreia has...

as to the character: she's the very opposite of Jolee Bindo. they're both exiles- Jolee chose his exile while Kreia's was forced upon her. they're both grey jedi- a secret servant of the light and one hidden master of darkness. one male, one female...
I like the idea, especially as I appreciated having a mentor character with me both in kotor I and II

You don't start on the Ebon hawk. The main character gets rescued from the republic ship by the Ebon hawk that Kreia has somehow got her hands on.
