I can't seem to get my character to walk. I've mapped the run/walk key to right-ctrl. It works sometimes, but most of the time nothing happens when I hold it down. Anyone else have that problem?
I did a search, but didn't see any posts about this. If nothing else, could someone point me to a different forum where there might be someone who can help me troubleshoot this problem.
My character does look a little like Forrest Gump. Maybe he just feels like running.
Run Walk Toggle
GregtheSleeper,
It's not a toggle actually. By default, my characters always run. I can make them walk by holding the run/walk key.
The problem is even that doesn't work much of the time. I don't know why. Sometimes I am lucky when I load a game and I can use the button to walk. Most of the time, it doesn't do anything. That's what I'm trying to figure out.

It's the 'Shift' key on the keyboard (PC). I'm not sure what is the walk key on the XBox, though.Kadaver wrote:What is the walk key, what are u guys talking bout?
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

For XBox you just barely press the analog stick in the direction you want the character to walk. (I noticed the same type of problem in Halo, because I have Halo for my computer and Halo 2 for my XBox. The only way that I know of to move slowly in Halo for PC is to hold down the croutch button while moving.) Sry for getting off-topic,but I just wanted to point that out.DesR85 wrote:It's the 'Shift' key on the keyboard (PC). I'm not sure what is the walk key on the XBox, though.
