Well, this is my second post today, thought I had things figured out, but no, it appears not. I thought i had messsed up earlier, when I posted that I had killed the leader of the hidden beks, whatever his name is, i forget. well, turned out that i had just not went far enough into the lower city. ok, so now, i've rescued baalzar, and have him and the twilek in my party. well, now one of my quests says to go find the vulkar base, in the sewers, and you have to fight a rancor, and all this, right?? i've looked high and low, and can't find the rancor, the base, the entrance, NOTHING!! also, it says to find canderous in the cantina, evidently you give him the launch codes or something, to find bastila>???? might be wrong about that, but that's what i think it said. basically, i don't know what to do now, i've tried about everything, i found all 3 parts to the promised land journals, so those undercity people all took off, i'm just kinda lost, and confused. tired of wandering around aimlessly. someone please help me!!!

Okay, first off, you have two choices here. If you've cheated (which I think you're last post said that you have) then you can just use the cheats to increase your security skill to something ridiculous and just pick the lock to the front door of the Vulkar's base (it is up in the Lower City in the opposite direction from the elevator down to the Under City).
Your second option is to go through the sewers. Since you've already found Zaalbar and have given the journals to the outcasts, I'm guessing you've left the sewers and are now trying to go back through them. The doorway that you need to find is sort of in the upper right hand corner of your map, but not the far upper right hand corner, that's an exit to the Under City. If you enter the sewers from the Souther entrance (that would involve taking a right turn after you exit the Outcast village), then the place you're looking for in the sewers is all RIGHT hand turns once you're inside. Basically, you'll come to a force field and Mission will say she can open it for you and then does.
Once you go through here, you're pretty much set. The next area of the sewers is pretty straight forward, there aren't any interconnected passageways to lose yourself in. The Rancor will eat you if you aren't slightly careful (you can't actually fight it in a straight forward fight). You're options are to either put a grenade in the pile of bones (and use some of the item you take off a severed arm right before you reach the Rancor) or you can use your stealth belt and place several mines in a path leading from a short distance from the Rancor to the tunnel you left. Then toss a grenade at him and run, he'll get hit a few times, realize he can't get you when you're in the tunnel and go back to where he was, then just repeat the process.
However you choose to deal with the Rancor, once he's dead, you just walk through the door that it was standing in front of and you'll be in the Vulkar base.

well, i've finally figured it out, the whole time i was just missing the entrance to the upper sewers, i was going right past it, i just didn't see it behind where you turn off the force field, i was just going straight. didn't even see the entrance!! what a *%#@& that is to find out!! well, thanks for the posts, and replies, see you all in the games.
