I'm too early in the game to have Mana or Experience augmentations, but I figure they are going to be the best for me (playing as a pure caster this first time around). So which do you think is better? I think Exp would be nice, but with the undead exp trick everyone talks about (haven't been able to try it myself yet) I would guess I can max anything that I'm interested in without much effort. That would point to using 8 mana augmentations (including the extra hidden augmentation in the frying pan).
Any other thoughts?

Mana vs. Exp Augmentations
When I played TLC, even without using any of the exp tricks, I still maxed out the skills and spells I was interested in. So if it's just a choice between the two, I'd say go with mana.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

[QUOTE=Darzog]I was always planning to keep physical shield up, I would have just used potions to replenish mana more than healing directly. Sounds like I'll go mana though. That's what I was thinking anyway.

talking to every merchant i meet, buying at towns (after using one of the gold exploits) you will get more will potions than you know what to do with. but the xp aug will keep you from glugging a potion down after a brief scuffle with a balvarine too big for its britches.
i like a master longbow with mana, sharp and sharp aug. (the twin sharp augs are great. almost as poweful as bow of skorm...every creature in the game is vulnerable to sharp augs)
