Carsomyr - Possible Spoiler

Post by davfrahen »

I always thought Keldorn started out with Carsomyr. The sword he has at the moment is Hallowed Redeemer. Where does he get Carsomyr from?

wrong

"Daystar" is the sword from the lich near the gates.

I can't be sure, but is Carsomyr found in the Umar Hills?

I think it may be part of Firkraag's horde.

It is indeed kept by Firkraag, but he is in Windspear.
Go to Copper Coronet and meet the man first.

That explains a lot. I did that quest once, a long time ago. Isn`t that the one where those wretched dogs keep going from near death to uninjured?

Greater wolfweres, yes.

Here's a handy hint / warning: if you leave Firkraag's dungeon till later on in the game (when you are higher level) you get more badass monsters to deal with (or at least I did).

I have left it till late. My character is level 17. I do love that Aerie. She just took out an Adamite Golem all on her own with Sling of Avoreen.

I try to do Mr F early on so that I can get the scales to make the armour from - in fact I try to do Nalia's quest before I have even done a chunk of the city.

I have started the windspear hills quest but popped back to town to recharge wands etc and got distracted by the bridge st quests.

got the boots of speed so I'm pretty nippy now.

Ah, would that be when it was wedged in the doorway in the planar sphere?

My favourite moment was from ToB when Jan administered the coup de grace on Draconis.

Probably when it wedges in the doorway in Mr. F's dungeon. Iron golems generally get upgraded to adamantite when you're higher level.
