Assasins, Arcane Archers, Loremasters, Doomguards... Nothing really interesting, though.Originally posted by ThorinOakensfield:

The Blessed of Gruumsh, Shadow Adept, and Red Wizard are all very cool Prestige classes that I would love to see in NWN (particularly the Shadow Adept). The Harper Scout, Dragon Disciple, and Acolyte of the Skin are also damn cool. I’m sure it won’t be too long after the game’s release before some bright spark hacks Prestige Classes into Neverwinter Nights.
Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

What else would they be? I take it you're unfamiliar with 3e if you haven’t heard of any of these (the Red Wizard and Shadow Adept are in the FRCS). Checkout here to get the lowdown on them.Originally posted by Xyx:

@ Kayless: Nice link. Thanks.
I'm quite familiar with the core rules, but know little of the add-on stuff. Frankly, I don't like the game any better with 50+ Prestige Classes... With D&D3's excellent multi rules, I don't see the point in Prestige Classes at all. Seems like a "bigger is better" and a desperate attempt to please everyone.

I too think they went a little overboard with all the Prestige Classes, but a few of them are very cool from a role-play perspective. I especially like the concept of the Shadow Adept, who wields magic garnered from the Shadow Weave and can cast spells in Dead and Wild Magic areas. The Acolyte of the Skin is a very creepy class for NPC villains (a wizard with the hide of a demon *shudder*). And having old staples like the Assassin and Archmage is just great. Prestige Classes can give some good ideas for NPCs or help flesh out one's PC.
