Best Weapon in TLC?

Post by Lycanfox »

In the original fable i believe the sord of aeons was the most powerful sword in the game but in TLC this isnt the case, just wondering what the most powerful weapon in TLC is, ive heard the solus greatsword, but also apparently even better is masters greatsword with 3 either piercing or sharpenin augmentations. Oppinions and facts welcome alike

I think its a matter of opinion what the best weapon is, some people like using strong, slow weapons. but others (like me) prefer to do a bit less damage but get more hits in so i use the 'Avos Tear' I belive that the solus great sword does have the highest stated damage though

i did not think the 'master greatsword' could match the 'solus greatsword' so i may have to get one and augment it to see wich one i prefer, thanks for that :)

O and i hav also found a sword wich is equal to the solus greatsword but with different augmetations its the 'The Bereaver'

The Solus greatsword does: 314 damage and has the flame and sharpening augmentations

The Bereaver does: 314 damage and has the health and sharpening augmentation

so i would say 'The bereaver' was better as it also heals you, but its a matter of opinion because the only difference is an augmentation and the looks

So you decide :D

to the best of my knowledge, damage-wise, it is indeed the solus greatsword.
it does 314 base damage and you can put another sharpening aug on it to make 324 base damage (personally i use a health aug because i tend to forget to block :D )

the master greatsword is not as strong, even with 3 sharpening augs. it deals 214 base damage. 3 sharpening augs would make it 244 (i think sharpening augs add 10 damage anyway, seeing i put one on the frying pan and it added 10. perhaps its 10%, seeing the frying pan does 100 damage?).

im not sure of the damage augs add to the weapons base damage. is there a writeup about this anywhere?

in any case id pick the bereaver, just because it looks impossibly cool :)
reminds me of sub zeros kori blade from mk:da

Best Weapons

Like everyone else is saying, for pure damage go with the solus. If you are looking for a more reliable, fast weapon, go with the Sword of Aeons, or Avo's Tear. That way bandits dont get you in a corner and beat you up.

hmm...
the xbox bereaver only has a health aug on it, but has 2 free slots. when i get up to that bit again, ill aug it differently and see what happens (in my first profile i put flame and something stupid i cant remember on it)

The strongest weapon you find/buy is The Solus GreatSword.
The Bereaver could potentially be the strongest if you accompany the flame augmentation in it with a sharpening aug. or 2.
The strongest bow is Skorms Bow by far.

But out of those three I only use Skorms Bow. My melee weapon of choice is The Avenger. Its not very powerful but it is the fastest weapon in the game.

Although the Solus Greatsword deals the most damage (314 right?), there are a bunch of weapons in the game, not placed in shops, or anything. The strongest of these is by far Briar Rose Steel Katana, which deals 530 damage, with one augmentation slot. I've seen people actually summon it with 5 sharpening augs though, but that's just overkill :p

the best weapon (without augmenting it) is solus great sword followed by:
Bereaver, Murren great hammer, Murren great ax, and ( i believe) the sentinus. ( i believe it is in that order) (but notice: all of these are the heaviest weapons)

the best light weapon is either the sword of aeons or Avo's tear.

the best bow (without augmenting it) is ( as many ppl know) Skorms bow.

As I said, her Katana, and a number of other NPC's weapons aren't attainable in the game, unless you create a chest with them already in there, or you spawn the weapons individually. I'm working on a mod right now, placing all the NPC weapons in chests around Albion, and a few other cool weapons too

For the scimitar, you get it when a bandit in the bandit camp puts it down to sit by the bonfire (VERY hard and time consuming)

As for my mod, I have a thread up on this forum here: http://www.gamebanshee.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71210, I'm trying to find good places for the weapons right now, any and all suggestions are welcome there. Shouldn't be too long till it's done
