Northern Forrest has shrunk!
I am still in the northern forest (CE) trying to make level 5 before the sewers... and I have to say that they really shrunk that area! Has anyone else noticed this? and there was one area I could climb the mountains... well that is part of the area shrunken! There seems to be more critters than I remember... and I usually play the northern area on 'more monsters' but with the CE I am going through on normal / normal...

Yes, the area east of the shacks is mostly gone and most of the terrain east of the ruins is changed, including the shacks, which switched positions. The boulders below the shacks that monsters used to get stuck in are gone, etc.
And yes, I noticed the big increase in monster spawns, including, well, those damn snakes! Gid, I do hate them and the scorpions for that matter. It does also seem like the more difficult setting is tougher than before. I liked that little touch with the goblin mage in the shack though.
