Is "Scribe" worth it?

How much does the Scribe skill speed up spell book recharge?

Is it worth investing points into it?

I have a 5 in scribe and I recharge pretty much the same... so, I don't see too much difference...

At 5 or above, it's pretty good at recharging level 1 and 2 spells if you don't use them very often. Mostly though, channel and scribe just cut down your rest times for higher level spells, saving you a minute here or a few minutes there depending on your spell and scribe levels. Scribe will never significantly help you regenerate you higher level magic in the field, no matter how high you get it.

To answer your question, its certainly worth putting some points in to 5 like Damn Snakes has, or a little higher, but I wouldn't spend a million advancement points on it bumping it up one level.

I do notice (at scribe level 5) that my 'shreaking stars' (level 1 spell) do regenerate very fast... and I use them a lot v.s. bees and bats - and they can slow down a pack of wolves some... (oh, I was an arcane level 21 before I deleted all my saved games and loaded the CE - now I am a 4th level fighter with a dinky sword... man, how the mighty have fallen...)

I have an: Adept,Paladin/Mage,Sorcerer,WIZARD. Im at level 14 and keep my arcane magic AND scribe at same level as my char level. They´re cheap because of WIZ class. And my NOVA spells (Blast,Fire,Ice) regenerate fast enough for me to use them pretty much everything. (
