I just listened to a little bit of the thought of someone called Patricia Morgan. It has not been good for my equilibrium. She argues that Malthus was correct in stating that poverty is caused by the Poor Laws and further that the fall in the birth rate is a world wide conspiracy by .....I think she said the bohemian elite. I admit I turned it off. It made me wonder, can everyone else listen to the most extreme proponents of views which appall them, so as to engage honestly in a debate? I am ashamed to admit I find that very very difficult. I found myself shouting at the radio
