Well, their job is to be the people's person. Basically, you can write to them, and have them look into a government policy or something like that. While they can't investigate directly, or make decisions, they can influence things, and can get stuff done.
It might be worth looking into.

@ Kipi. Oh, two cousins ( not from the same nuclear family) arrived to visit me with no warning at all. I haven't seen either of them since I was about 6. I didn't even know who they were at first. It was very odd

@ Rav. Yeah, they are OK for sorting out some kinds of problem. But they are forbidden by legislation to challenge policy issues, because they are a charity. If it gets so they are going to do something to me I will probably see what they can do. But otherwise this Ombudsman sounds like a way forward
