Speculations for Fable 2 (Will Jack be Back?)

The problem with making sequels to games that are... uh... illinear? unlinear? whatever! The problem with making sequels to games that aren't linear is that if you do it in the near future after the first game, it has to have an "open beginning", but if you do it in the past it still can't be totally "not linear" since then you could do something radical and throw off the beginning in the first game. Unless of course it's long enough ago/in the future.

So they should make it so that if you have the first part installed (this would thus only work on computers...) and have finsished the first part then starting a new game in the sequel would make the game check how you finished the first game, and sort of carry on from there.

I have't played Fable so I have no idea how it ends so maybe it would be ok to make the sequel in the future...

I've heard some exciting news

As far as I've heard there are going to be a lot of new changes to be added for fable 2. I've heard that the new world is that big, you have been advised to use transportation like horses. I've also heard that you can have kids this time and that they play a big part in the game, and that they also grow up different ways depending on how you treat them. As far as I know, The Dragon Quest is also available and finally I have heard that you can join the army, which could also it might be a multiplayer game (probably with xbox live) with pitting your army against a friends. But I don't yet know whether Jack of Blades will be in fable 2 or not. Let's hope so!

Fable 2

ok i no im necroposting but on IGN.com they saw theres no gaurentee but Fable 2 is expected to come out for X-Box 360

I think that IF there is "FABLE 2" it will not even have fable in the title it'll be something like Legend (before fable times) and you are the son of the king of the old kingdom, you know and on the cover art Lionhead will put The prequel to Fable... And same thing with the stained glass windows, but at the end it shows you riding a dragon. I tihnk Jack will be in it, but a diminutive man, or he starts off as a servant to the king, and craves power and kills a dragon and makes a mask out of it.

yes i heard a rumour that fable 2 was gonna be called the imortality soul sounds weird i thought they would have just called it fable 2!!

i don't think jack is still alive you throw the mask into the lava in TLC and if he is still the villain lionhead must be soo lame but i think it should be archon's evil sprit

And about Jack of Blades back in Fable 2, a resounding no. Its illogical to have Jack return in Fable 2 after 500 years since he died during the events of Fable: The Lost Chapters. I will most probably vouch for a descendant of Jack but not him in person at that time period.

well jack comming back all depends on how you play the game in TLC cause if you remember Jack was living through his mask going from host to host....I sure as heck hope he isn't going to be back though because having him as the main boss is kinda worn out and tired.

Agreed. And you're right that he lives through his mask. It would be illogical to see Jack of Blades back seeing that if you throw the mask into the fire at the end of Fable: The Lost Chapters, Jack would be non-existant and I would have a hard time comtemplating Jack's return in Fable 2 should he be present there. A descendant of Jack would be much better and more logical.

Or they should make a choice feature in the beginning to start off where u left on TLC with the Bad hero, Or u start on Fable 2 as the killer of J.O.B...
Anyway this sounds a bit unlogical, Becouse changing the whole gameplot at the beginning is a lot of work..

I agree with both Matt and superbob here. Jack of Blades is gone for good so let's get a new bad guy and new enemies. It's been 500 years after the events of Fable: The Lost Chapters.

A return of jacl of blades or a follower or somthing else is also a rip off, Also The hero himself should B a new one, they can mention the old hero, But i would like some new things ingame...
Otherwise i could start and replay TLC one more time

I sorta agree with the JOB ideas but wouldn't that make the game kinda boring? I mean in Fable and TLC who's the main boss....JOB and JOB dragon.....maybe its my opinion but I think having a main boss or enemy related to JOB or whatever would make the game have a TLC feel to it....I'd like a game thats set 500 years after the first one to have a 500 year difference to the actual gameplay....new boss, new enemy, new hero, etc....

I think that the first one wasn't necessarily lacking much really just the graphics not to say that they weren't good I actually fancied it. But the only thing that bugged me was that they didn't really give you a choice of picking. Like with lady grey. She was like."Ha ha ha, you killed boulvirenes, trolls, bandits, and a big ass scorpion marry me bitch. But I didn't relize talking to her would make her like me. I then got her a rose I shoulda' gotten her something bright. But I just turned it off after she made it clear she was gonna marry me... If there is an alter I am just gonna leave her there ^_^ but i didn't even want to find her stupid neckless I was digging looking for the ghost pirate's treasure. And I didn't know what he meant where to dig next to. So I just started digging next to things until I found the neckless and I was gonna give it to some random braud. Then all I did was realized he had to mean something that had been on the beaches for awhile so I looked next to the docks and found it. But that doesn't pertain to how it will improve. What I would hope for would be to widen the lands. Make the whole map accessible such as in the elder scrolls series how you could go just about every where. But as long as you can't swim. I hate damn sharks. But what I was getting at really with the lady grey thing was that you couldn't really talk. Like you could say yes or no sometimes. I wish like after each time they would say an order or a suggestion it would give either a list or yes or no but that would take too long after every suggestion, Maybe after every major suggestion. Also this is something that wasn't really brought up in many games. Your voice... I remember in one of the tony hawk games you could make your tone of voice when you got pissed and your personality: Quiet, loud, hyper (Etc). And maybe in your nick name you can combine two names like I think that you could have reaper in Fable one I know you could have assassin because that was my name. But the game was pretty quick though I did not finish it but I got where I am pretty quickly. But it is like the final fantasy games it just gobbles up time and you barely do anything. There are many ways they could improve that game but I am not saying it isn't good nothings perfect.

i think that there should be more than one character. like in halo 2 where you could be the arbitor and master chief. But like, you switch off whenever you want to. Like you could be jack before he became an idiot! and also be a good guy. Or it could take place in the old kingdom and have Hew and a bad guy from back then. The story line in fable sucked, so fable 2 should have a better story line, also more quests!!!!!!
