Windspear Hill problem

Post by Kmus »

Hi I complete all the quest in windspear hills and free the kid from jail and all..., but when I return to the cabin to get my reward. Iltha has a red circle like an enemy, but she doesn't attack because the game lose his interface al all characters stay like  doing anything.

Besides i can't access the menu and the only way to exit is by ctrl+F4

Someone who already pass through this.

HELP PLEASE!

I don't know about your interface problem but I have had the problem with Iltha turning red on me. Seems I accidentally injured her in the fight with Tazok & crew. She turned red but finished her speech and left. Upon returning to the cabin both her and Gerran(?) were red......oops. I had to restart from my last save (I am really bad about not keeping very many saves-Auto save and quick save mostly).

Maybe you accidentally injured her?

Collateral damage

I have had that happen - collateral damage on a NPC and then they stay hostile after a chat.

another problem I had - similar nature - was dropping Keldorn from the party - he stayed in the location but wouldn't speak to me. As well as damaging people - if you break their auto-dialogue features it can be impossible to get back to the script.

The extrange thing is that all the menu interface disappeared, is like watching a video, you don't have control over your characters and like i said you can't access the menu.

Nobody knows about a bug or something that makes the game behave in this way...

And you've applied the official ToB patch, correct?

Hi, i found in the web something like this:

Interface sometimes disappears and game continues if spell Imprisonment is cast on protagonist; protagonist doesn't disappear and keeps on fighting if that's what they were doing.

Problem Programming
Solution:
Quit game with Alt-F4 as cannot use game controls to do so. Avoid Imprisonment using Spell Immunity: Abjuration, Spell Trap, Protection From Magic scroll, Rod Of Absorption or Berserker Mode.

BUT, I don't even have time to spellcast, when I enter in the cabin the menu interface just disappear :(

Please don't repost several times in a row like that. Just edit your post, using the button below it. :)

Anytime you install a new game, go to the developer's website and check for a patch. Game's are extremely complex these days, and even when developers get the job right the first time (which is, frankly, seldom), there are usually odds and ends to fix. This is where you can acquire the last patch. You want the ToB patch, because installing that module also includes an SoA patch with the program, itself.

I don't know that this will help, but if you read the bugfixes that are on that site, you'll see the other problems it cures. :)

Ok, Thanks a lot! :)

Sorry for the multiple posts.

I found a bug that corrects the patch:

Fixes rare bug where the game would lock in cutscene mode if the Spectator is attacked before the cutscene involving Captain Egeissag initiates.

The only difference is than is Ilthan instead of Captain Egeissag
